What's the biggest reason for Blacks not advancing

I'm glad everyone thats added to this is a legal expert and a ballistics expert...

I've hardly seen anyone offer any input from a ballistics or legal perspective whatsoever.

And yet you post a lengthy diatribe with graphs and everything, neat...

About treatment and conditions of different races and studies relating to implicit biases in behavior present on the part of civilians and police officers.

Don't know what that has to do with the science of projectiles or studying law.

What you failed to realize is that you're painting yourself as a sh*thouse lawyer. You post all these "facts" and then don't claim to be an expert.

Do you have any direct knowledge of what happened? If you can demonstrate this, without you having to use Google or multiple websites of "info" gathered by someone else, I would be impressed...

I don't, I never claimed to, and in fact I have affirmatively claimed that I do not even in this very thread.

The facts of this case, ultimately don't matter much, because it's not even about this case. What happened in Ferguson is merely a mascot to represent oppressed african-americans on the playing field. It might not successfully or effectively represent the plight of their oppression, but focusing solely on the details of what happened one day in August is the equivalent of not liking Michigan State's football team because they aren't actually Spartans rather than them legitimately being poor and unsportsmanlike competitors.

The plight of the African American? Please tell me you're kidding?

Why is this group of people offing themselves in droves or going to jail in record numbers? Is the white man to blame for every black man killed or incarcerated? The only thing holding them back is themselves.

I'm Native American, so should I bitch and moan about the white man keeping me down and holding me back from my potential?

Give me a f*cking break,,.

What are they going to accomplish besides perpetuating stereotypes and making life difficult for those who have no connection to this incident?

I don't know. What do rioters of any skin color ever hope to accomplish? I certainly can't see any goal trying to be obtained by riots after winning the Super Bowl, can you?

Exactly, so if you're not accomplishing anything, why do it?

Landlord....

Your equating our reaction at a riot after a sporting event and this is rediculous and quite frankly is not anywhere close to relevant.

For the record, there is plenty of out rage about s riot after a Super Bowl.

Both groups are idiots.

But, what you fail to realize is the feelings are different because of the intended purpose of the rioters.

Super Bowl fans don't give a flying rats ass about my reaction. They are just being idiots.

These rioters in a wierd way want me to see them and feel sorry for them and support their cause.

Big difference and both groups get no sympathy from me.

The message these riots send: "We're tired of being treated like second class citizens, viewed as constantly dangerous by cops, and so on. So here we go burning down our own community, firing weapons at police, and so on. Just ignore those parts and please don't see us as dangerous or not part of normal society. Derp. Thanks."

And focusing on one group of people and applying it a whole is equally stupid.

Mrs NUpolo8 and I had a very nice dinner at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas on Sunday. It was an expensive meal at a very trendy casino. Directly across from is was a couple. They were black. They didn't get shot. They enjoyed their meal, and it was probably more expensive than ours because they had a $300 bottle of wine on their table.

And they weren't athletes or rap stars either.

They were just people.

Now, not everyone can afford that meal, and not everyone is being treated questionably by police. You might want to stop painting with such a broad brush under the guise of oppression because I'm going to guess each separate outcome is a product of horrible upbringing, bad education and no motivation.

Plus it makes you sound like an uneducated platitude slinger, and quite frankly the world has enough of those and the pay ain't great.

Just another example of what this case represents for too many black people in our country:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/indiana-couple-sues-police-excess-force-video-incident-article-1.1966474

The argument can be made that the officers were completely within their legal rights throughout this whole thing, but the thing is that they get to dictate the circumstances. They get the power of telling the people to get out of the car, and the people have to choose to comply and 'be lawful' even though doing so makes them fear for their life.

Basically, an officer fears for his life and he is allowed to use lethal force. A civilian fears for his life at the hands of an officer and if he tries to protect himself by calmly remaining inside a vehicle, he'll get cut by flying glass and tazed.

I've been pulled over and reached my hands places that the cop couldn't see plenty of times in my life going for an id or registration. I've never felt like I needed to be afraid of something like this, and I've never had an officer become alarmed at me doing so.

Did you even watch the video of what you posted? Those morons refused to comply with any of the reasonable requests made by the officer.

The reason you've never feared for your life from an officer is because you reasonably comply with officers requests when pulled over for a traffic violation.

As far as the Michael Brown shooting goes, the officer was completely justified in shooting. They keep painting a picture of Michael Brown as a child when in reality this was a 6'4" 300LB adult thug that robbed, then assaulted the poor gas station clerk, and then tried to disarm a police officer. I unapologetically have no sympathy for someone like that regardless of race.
