Saunders
Just as the title says, what are you most excited about for the 2014 team. Follow the format below. (See the "concerned about" thread here) Offense: Maturation of a young QB, and if Ameer can hit 1,000 yards to be the first back at NU with three 1,000 yard seasons. Defense: Maliek Collins and Randy Gregory. I think those 2 are going to camp in opponents backfields. Bonus: The youth. I think we've got a couple young playmakers that will emerge in the first few games. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
always fun to watch Ameer. Quote Link to comment
Huskers5x
Offense: I'm excited to see what all these wide outs can do! Defense: looking forward to having a complete d line that stuff runs consistently. Bonus: I think we will see a spike in interceptions with the combo of warrens coaching and a line that creates pressure. Quote Link to comment
Dagerow
Offense: Alex Lewis and Fyfe. Defense: Just seeing if the defense comes together and plays lights out. There is the potential to play Bo's scheme the way it was meant to be played (assuming no injuries). Bonus: Brown continues in NU's tradition of great kickers. (Edited to correct errors). Landlord
More turnovers and less turnovers. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Offense: TA taking it to the next level and being an actual passing and running threat. Confident in the RB's and receivers. QB will be the key Defense: I am hoping that Coop and Gerry are the next Assante and O'Hanlon. Ball hawing safeties who can hit and get tackles in the open field Bonus: We actually attempt to return punts. A gain of 10-15 yrs per punt could be huge. Even as little as 5-10 would make a big deference Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Offense: Seeing AA cap off a great career Defense: I think this is the most athletic group we've had in years. Let's see how it translates on the field. Bonus: Newby, Pierson-El or some other fast guys returning kicks. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I'm looking forward to watching the games (I worked every Saturday last fall) Quote Link to comment
Branno
Offense: Running game. AA is going to put together a hell of a season to cap a great college career. Defense: our defensive line. This could be the best we've seen under Pelini. Bonus: An actual punt return? Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Offense :Tommy Armstrong executing this offense. I believe this will be the best offense we've seen from Beck. Defense: Defensive line. The best all around front fournwe've had in a long time. The strength of this defensive line will help disguise any inexperience in the secondary. That is my hope anyways. Quote Link to comment
deedsker
Carter being hit in stride. I am sure he has some moves in the open field. Seeing if our secondary can improve enough to build the best defense we have ever had in Lincoln. It's up to them to make it happen. Punts blocked. That is correct, multiple punts.
