Only problem for me is that the video wouldn't play and cannot find it on BTN. Did anyone see the video and if so, what was his reasoning behind it? Sporting No. 44 a year ago, Gregory is now listed as No. 4 on the latest Husker roster, sharing the same jersey number as quarterback Tommy Armstrong. That's no typo, a spokesman confirmed. On a side note Purdue might've been the worst football team I've ever seen on the field. Seriously, they were really bad! The great thing about Gregory is how versatile he is. You can put him down in the dirt on the line and have him get after the QB, you can drop him back as a LB and blitz him. Hell he showed he can play in pass coverage as well. Only problem is we'll never see him on the offensive side running in a TD on a surprise play because of him switching to #4. Would love to see the look on the opposing defense if Randy was back in the diamond formation for one play! Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility Posted August 28, 2014 Share Posted August 28, 2014 I like how Bo uses Randy. Moves him around so the offense really has no way of playing around him. It was a huge ass reason/excuse for the lack of production from Clowny last year how offenses were just simply going away from him with runs and rolls to the opposite sides. By putting Randy so many times at that ILB spot or out of a spinner, it really adds to the quarterbacks confusion of where he is and where he is coming from. Not to mention delay blitzing him from behind a stunt from that ILB spot matches him up usually on a running back. And that's just a case of LOL. Quote Link to comment

Couple years ago (maybe it was only last year?) when Jamal Turner was still returning punts, Josh Mitchell was #10 for the first game. He was in on a punt return, so we had two #10s on the field at the same time. The next week, Mitchell was wearing #5 (still had 10 on his helmet though). I'm assuming that was the reason for the switch back to #5, and we got lucky it wasn't flagged. Who was it last year that we played, and they kept announcing a player changed his number every time he came in? Quote Link to comment
