okaive
Watching the game now and although I hate them, I am hoping that they win just for our benefit. They're not looking good on either side of the line and really don't have much of a challenge before playing us after tonight's game. They have Florida A&M and Arkansas State. Hate counting my eggs before they hatch, but really liking our chances right now. The only thing that I see as their strength is their kick returns. That could kill us if we don't kick it deep in the end zone. Quote Link to comment
huskerdude171
They just got screwed on that long pass with the ineligible downfield call. Just failed that 4th down so I don't think there's much hope. Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Man if they went with Heaps to give Johnson somewhat of a passing threat by the time they got to Lincoln I'd be a little worried. This poor kid is beyond swimming in the game. Quote Link to comment
deedsker
Oline is doing Johnson much of a favor either. Quote Link to comment

Ulty
I think we are going to beat the crap out of Miami, but it ultimately will mean very little once we get into conference play. Quote Link to comment
strigori
The shine is really coming off of the U. Any talk of Gameday in Lincoln for this match up is long gone. It is also, unfortunately, going to devalue any win we get against them. And right now, I am very confident we win this game. MSU is going to be the first actual test this year. Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
So it seems our schedule is filled with a bunch of teams we should handle. So what we do is get very damn good against all these underwhelming teams before the meat of our schedule. And if we don't let circumstance get in the way of the goal, we could do something special. Keep getting better. Like the prayer says, Day by Day! 1 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I expect every team we play this year to improve from this week. We have to do the same. There is a good chance we won't even see the same qb for the Miami game. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
We should be able to handle them. Now i also said the same thing about VTech both years and UCLA both years. Just go undefeated in the non conference please. 2 Quote Link to comment
Redux
Missed the Cane game. Was drafting a fantasy team and had a Breaking Bad season 2 marathon on Netfilx. Dkesnt sound like I missed much. So the consensus is we handle them fairly easily? Good to hear. Got another huge beatdown this weekend and a potential home field embarassment in Fresno. I hope we keep up the slaughters through non con. Keep striking fear into all our opponents before we play em. Love it. Still though, Miami isnt a pushover Im sure. Gotta keep this killer mentality up and roll over them. Quote Link to comment

They have a really good running back, but the o-line didn't seem to be very good and neither is the QB if you get pressure on him early (he had very happy feet numerous times in the second half, even if there was no pressure). I think their defense could give us some trouble, so that might be a good test for this team going into conference play. Quote Link to comment

Gotta keep this killer mentality up and roll over them. Miami defense looks salty and could save their bacon if our offense doesn't beat them up. Special teams were good, set up decent returns. Their offense, though...looks lost. Poor O-Line play, stupid penalties/mistakes (including the ineligible receiver call, which was correct), no running game to speak of, and their current QB situation is tenuous at best. Could be close for a half, but we should be able to blow things open after their defense gets winded...provided we don't shoot ourselves in the foot. Quote Link to comment
Redux
So a good test for our offense at home and could be a marquee game for our defense? Quote Link to comment
