Assesing the talent: Nebraska coaches only got 1 prospect out of the state of Texas last year in Will Henry. This year, Nebraska coaches plan on hitting Texas with everything they have. They have already offered the top 2 preseason prospects in QB Ryan Mallett and LB/DE Richetti Jones. Bradley Stephens is now next on that list of prospects being targeted. He is ranked 21st on the top 100 Texas prospects for 2007. He currently has verbal offers from Texas A&M, Iowa St, Okla St, and Houston. He's also receiving mail from Nebraska, Notre Dame, Florida St, Florida, Michigan, Ohio St, Texas, Missouri and Miami.

Last year, he rushed for 2,640 yards on 245 carries (avg 10.7 yards per carry) and 38 touchdowns. He also caught 12 passes for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also played on special teams, and gained 325 yards on kickoff returns. He earned all South Texas team MVP honor and 2nd team all RB honors after RB Joseph Reese who is expected to be the top RB prospect in Texas for the 2007 class (currently ranked 15th on the 2007 watch list). In addition to his staggering numbers on the field, Bradley has a knack for knowledge in the classroom with his 4.0 GPA which makes him even more attractive.

Bradley has a bench press of 295 pounds, squat of 575 and a vertical of 34 1/2 inches.

Odds of becoming a Husker: to early to tell with so much interest.

Note: he rushed for 38 tds, not 28. It was correct earlier in the post. He also punted for a 40 yard average not had a punt return average of 40 yards.

Another positive stat is he holds a 4.0 GPA so academics shouldn't be an issue

Assessing the talent: Pro-style QB. Attended Manhatten Nike Training Camp. Little is known about him at this time. Nameless or Eric?

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: Greater than 10%? Currently lives and attending high school in Nebraska and has the Huskers as his lone favorite.

Assessing the talent: Will be the top prep QB in Washington State next year. A real man among boys. Southridge High runs a pass-first offense, and he's been a starter for two years. He's a 3.8 GPA student, an excellent athlete, and by all accounts is a terrific leader.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 10% Leon Jackson is from the same area, so Nebraska has some exposure in Kennewick. I'd be shocked if we didn't offer Munns at some point. He's got the tools to be an incredible college QB. I'd bet on BC himself making the trek to Kennewick. I live about 90 minutes away, so I'll monitor his senior season.

Munns is LDS, so he's looking at BYU and Utah. Says Indiana and FSU are sending him the most mail.

He's noticed Nebraska's recent success and notes that Jackson and Carriker are from the area.

Distance also may also play a role - it sounds like he may stay close to home, or at least have that desire.

I'd rank Notre Dame, Oregon, WSU, Washington, and BYU all ahead of Nebraska at this point.
