***** What did we learn - Fresno St Edition *****

-Nebraska is one of only two undefeated teams left in the B1G

-Offense has big play potential

-TA can help with the running game, needs to check down more to our RBs on pass plays

-OL is struggling at run blocking, but good a pass blocking

-We have a punt returner in DPE (though he had a bit of the dropsies toward the end)

-Randy is back! VV, McMullen, M Newby, and Collins all had strong showings as well

-Defense is struggling to produce TO

-Trevor Roach was solid kicking coverage

-TE can catch TDs

-The coaching is definitely watching out for Ameer. Got him his 100+ yd game (now at 19 100+ games). #FearAmeer

-Nebraska ends opponents' longest home winning streaks in back-to-back years. 2013: Michigan; 2014: Fresno St

1) Lots of white receivers made plays.

2) Marcus Newby seems like he's starting to break through....him and Gregory could be just nasty together.

3) Tommy Armstrong is 10-1 as a starter.....he may never break a 60% completion percentage but it's the winning percentage I care about.

Overall we were expected the beat up on Fresno, and we did. Got off to a fast start and never looked back. OH YEAH WE GOT A PUNT RETURN TOUCHDOWN WOOOO!

Tommy still can't see a RB check down to save his life, they just stopped covering the RB out of the backfield, several could have gone for BIG plays.

We need turnovers from the D, still can't produce them.

Live and die with big plays, today was live.

Don't overreact, the truth STILL prob lies somewhere in the middle.

Now Go out and smoke miami!

- Our biggest issues still are consistency and focus

- The offensive line is still struggling a lot against teams they should be pushing around

- We have an emerging game-changing weapon in the return game, even if he perhaps got a bit cocky in the second half

- The defensive line is coming along quite nicely

- We remembered that the tight end position existed

- I missed the red pants. I understand why they didn't wear them, but I still missed them

- Late night football is fun

- The offense is able to be very explosive vs bad defenses. Remains to be seen if it holds up vs good defenses.

- The defense did a solid job vs so many plays. Almost 90.

- The defense still has issues forcing turnovers.

- Cross has some serious speed for a guy that big.

- That there are still more questions than answers.

After another revolting showing of B1G teams, there is absolutely no excuse for not being in Indy. And if Pelini can't capitalize and bring home the big hardware with what appears to be the weakest conference showing in his tenure, then it will never happen.
