Looking ahead to the 2015 Non-Con schedules

So I am a little bored at work and thought I would look at the 2015 non-conference schedule of every "Power" 5 school and see how they match up against other P5, Independent, and Service Academy(because 'Merica). Feel free to discuss or whatever.

 

 

 

The B1G play 22 out of 56 (39.2%) possible non-conference games against P5, Independents, and Service

 

7 games against the ACC. 2 Home and 5 Away

4 games against the Big 12. 3 home and 1 Away

5 games against the PAC 12. 4 home and 1 away

1 game against the SEC on a Neutral field

3 games against the Service Academies. 2 Home and 1 Away

2 games against Independents. Both at home.

 

All 14 members of the B1G play at least one school from the above criteria

 

 

The SEC play 11 out of 56 (19.6%) possible non-conference games against P5, Independents and Service.

 

7 games against the SEC. 3 Home, 2 Away, 2 Neutral. The 2 Away games are against opponents from the same state.

1 game against the B1G at a Neutral Site

2 games against the Big 12. One home. One Neutral Site.

1 game against the PAC12 on a neutral Site.

0 games against Independents or Service Academies.

 

4 out of 14 schools do not play another school from the above criteria.
