Danny Bateman
Please, feel free to add to this list if you have any good ones. Just noticed a few odds and ends that I liked: Nebraska is currently 2nd in the nation in rushing offense, with 354.8 YPG. Navy is 1st, with 358.4 YPG. Definitely within reach. Wiscy is a distant 3rd with 343.3 YPG. Nebraska is currently +1 in turnover differential. This trend pleases me. Our Non-Con opponents have gone 7-2 since losing to us. McNeese is ROLLING through teams at their level. They truly are a top-notch D-IAA school. Miami beat a talented, undefeated Duke team yesterday. Fresno beat New Mexico Friday in their MWC opener. The two losses are FAU's: A 41-0 rolling at Alabama and a heartbreaker 20-19 loss to Wyoming. On the whole, certainly not as creampuffy as some of the other Big 10 teams or the vaunted SEC... NU is 2nd in overall yardage so far (110 yards behind Aggie) and 7th in the nation in PPG at 45.4 and 2nd in overall pts scored with 227. 8 Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Posted before, but I'll post it here since it's fitting: Neb #1 in the country in 3'n outs on defense. Jesus that warms my soul.... 6 Quote Link to comment

Wow, that's great. I had no idea Mitchell says it's largely due to Gregory. He said he has seen on 3rd down passing downs where multiple offensive players will forget the play or not do their job because they are so concerned about Gregory. Quote Link to comment

If that's not the definition of making everyone around you better, I don't know what is. Quote Link to comment
Husker from Kansas
Through the first 5 games Ameer Abdullah has carried the ball 114 times for 833 yards and 8 tds. Thats averaging 166 yards per game If he can keep up that pace and NU makes the CCG and a bowl game he would finish the season with 2,332 yards on the season! Quote Link to comment

knapplc
We now have 401 wins all-time at Memorial Stadium (since 1923). #400 was last week's beat-down of Miami. Ameer leads the nation in rushing with 833 yards on 114 carries (7.3 YPC). He's done that basically without playing the 2nd half of either FAU or Illinois. Ameer has two straight 200+ yard games. Prior to this season he had two 200+ yard games in his career. He's had three more this year alone. Yesterday's 45 points was the most Nebraska has scored in a Big Ten conference game. 2 Quote Link to comment

Not prior to this season, prior to the last two f Games, right? He ran for over 200 against Illinois last year, but he other three have all been this season. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
The 24 points Nebraska scored in the 2nd quarter of last night's game were the most points scored in any quarter this season. They scored 17 points in the 2nd & 3rd quarters against FAU, and 14 points in one quarter six other times. Nebraska has scored 10 or more points in one quarter 12 out of 20 quarters (60%) so far this year. Nebraska has not had a scoreless quarter so far in 2014. 2 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Nebraska has not had a scoreless quarter so far in 2014. This is actually quite impressive. 2 Quote Link to comment

But this is reachable: He needs 1,167 yards for 2,000. Over 8 games, that would be 146 per game. Over 9 games that would be 130 per game. Quote Link to comment
