Is it just me OR........

Is it just me or did Tommy Armstrong come leaps bounds in terms of game management, leadership and decision making against a very gritty team?

Is it just me or did Tim Beck try to stretch the defense vertically down field more than normal (with success I might add)?

Is it just me or was AA solid as always?

Is it just me or does Pierson-El give the defense just enough to think about in order to take some heat off our other role players on offense while being much more than JUST a decoy?

Is it just me or has the defense really started to establish an identity and gel halfway through the season?

Is it just me or did the second half offensive line make the first half offensive line take a walk, thus forcing the coaches to make some serious changes?

Is it just me or do we always come out of the gate slow and flat, gradually picking up speed, rarely finishing poorly?

Almost all of those things have been happening all year.

It could be argued that less than half of those things have been happening all year to the degree that I intended to highlight here. My intention here was to point out a noticeable shift toward the right direction and yes a positive/encouraging shift. You may not agree with my analysis and that's ok.

Which of them have not been happening all year?

Is it just me or did Tommy Armstrong come leaps bounds in terms of game management, leadership and decision making against a very gritty team? Armstrong has been a very good leader all year and he has managed this offense very well most of the time while on the field.

Is it just me or did Tim Beck try to stretch the defense vertically down field more than normal (with success I might add)? Armstrong has been throwing down field all year. In the first few games, we proved we could do it. Then, Miami thought they had better talent than us so they only left one safety high. Bell burned them long and they didn't go it again. In fact, in the McNeese State game, we actually threw down the field TOO much. If we would have done more intermediate passes, the game wouldn't have been so close.

Is it just me or was AA solid as always? Not sure what the question is.

Is it just me or does Pierson-El give the defense just enough to think about in order to take some heat off our other role players on offense while being much more than JUST a decoy? Pierson-El has been on the field more and more but he first started seeing the field on offense a number of games ago.

Is it just me or has the defense really started to establish an identity and gel halfway through the season? Agree. This has been developing all year.

Is it just me or did the second half offensive line make the first half offensive line take a walk, thus forcing the coaches to make some serious changes? The offensive line has played some very good games this year. They struggled bad against MSU and some against NWestern. Yes, the second half was better.

Is it just me or do we always come out of the gate slow and flat, gradually picking up speed, rarely finishing poorly? Yes, that has been happening in most games all year.

The biggest thing is that I think both of us agree we are building into being a very good football team this year.
