knapplc
LINCOLN — If Nebraska football recruiting were a race car, it rubbed the wall a few times in the early days of the Bo Pelini era and faced a tight turn in 2011, when the Huskers entered the Big Ten. This is all known stuff, and it’s helped define the first half of Pelini’s tenure. Nebraska finally came out of that turn right around signing day 2013 — after a brutal end to 2012 proved the Huskers needed more big boys and athletes on both sides of the line — and now, if Pelini’s comments this week are any guide, the car has found the straightaway. I’m still not sure the car is as “fully loaded” as it could be, but Pelini seems satisfied with the level of support from Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst and his administration, whom Pelini said have done “a heckuva job giving us all the tools.” LINK "Heckuva" sighting - everyone drink! Sam details the changes to Nebraska's recruiting philosophy over the Bo Pelini Era, and how things may be moving toward a more effective process. Quote Link to comment
