Redux
Last time it was would you be ok with a 5-7 season to ensure Bo gets fired? The results were almost unanimously against such a notion. Now, we seem to believe Iowa winning is inevitable. So some of us are actually hoping for a Hawkeye win on Friday in the hopes of a severe staff change. Lets see where we are on here. SCode
Never give up. Never, never, never give up. Especially to Iowa... A close, mistake filled effort against the Hawks has same result, win or loose. Might as well win. 1 Quote Link to comment
Popular Post NUpolo8
This is likely one one of the worst weeks to be a student athlete playing football for Nebraska, so I feel for them. Your season goals are nearly all shot, there's a firm wedge jammed between you and the fan base, that your coach and some of your teammates helped drive in, and speaking of your coach, he's doubling down on his hubris and tossing your execution and "want to" under the bus to protect his seven figure salary. Oh and this is all happening during a holiday week where you can't go home, have less rest before your game, and by the way you gotta go to shitbox Iowa City. There's potential for a very big wreck here I've stopped hoping for wins and losses this season, I'm just hoping that the players who want. Nebraska to be a part of their post athletic careers can, and aren't given the Corey McKeon treatment. 10 Quote Link to comment
Undone
Another thread asking whether or not anyone wants Iowa to win? GTFO with this stuff. 4 Quote Link to comment
TGHusker
I don't think win or lose maters as it relates to Bo. He done enough to show it is time for a change. In regards to the players and fans - I hope we win period. Quote Link to comment
wiuhusker
I will never root for anyone but Nebraska during a football game in which they are involved in. Having said that, I'm not sure that a loss this weekend will have me too disappointed. It's time that Nebraska fans, whether thats students, donors or whatever get a coach that embraces all aspects of being the head football coach for this program. No ill will towards Bo at all but he's not the right guy for this job. Quote Link to comment
Bball1091
I think there needs to be a middle ground...I think you should always cheer for Nebraska to win, but will I be as mad/sad as I was when we lost to MSU or Whisky....the answer is no. I am cheering for Nebraska but indifferent towards the outcome. And by outcome, I mean the actual score of the game, not the repercussions it will have on the coaching staff. In my opinion, Bo should be gone Saturday morning buts that neither here nor there just letting all know where I stand. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
I didn't vote because I can't necessarily root for Iowa, but I can shrug off a crap performance by Neb and I may even smile holding back laughter at Becks horrible play calling, furthering me to laugh at Bo and his incompetence for being loyal to crappy frien....I mean fellow coaches. Will I feel bad for the kids? Heck yes, not because they lost but because the disservice that has been wrongfully brought against them. 1 Quote Link to comment
RunMickeyRun02
Another thread asking whether or not anyone wants Iowa to win? GTFO with this stuff. This could be sort of my fault, I kind of wished in another thread someone turned this topic into a poll. Quote Link to comment
hskrpwr13
Since its Iowa, I voted a resounding "no". The bowl game was a bit tougher, however, I wouldn't necessarily think a bowl loss would be a deciding factor on any potential change. I'm (almost) all for anything that will solicit some type of change. Quote Link to comment
RunMickeyRun02
This kind of has the feel of when NFL fans root for their team to suck so they get a high draft pick. That pick could be a boom or bust, just like a new coach. Still, I can't bring myself to root against Nebraska, just can't do it. Just like I couldn't root for Miami this year. Quote Link to comment

It's OK...I am more annoyed by the unofficial "thread police" than I am with the threads themselves. I find, in my own experience anyway, if I think a thread is a repeat of an earlier thread..I just don't read it. Quote Link to comment

The good news (?!) is regardless of whether people root for us or not I don't have a good feeling about beating Iowa,...so.....moot point? Yeah, I hate this too. Quote Link to comment
