Among those sitting out #Huskers practice: Corey Cooper, Randy Gregory, Alonzo Moore, Mark Pelini, Sterup and Reeves. Roach on crutches.

Really hoping Gregory comes back for a season with no injuries.

Honestly I could see Iowa as his last game as a Husker. Wouldn't surprise me if he sat out the bowl game citing injury so he can get ready for the draft. He gone.

Cross, Bush, and Natter weren't dressed out either.

Cooper plans to return to practice this week.

Ameer is in Orlando for Doak Walker Award.

Nebraska has sold half of its 6,000 tickets.

Assistants from Pelini's staff have been starting to make arrangements for next season when not game planning for Holiday Bowl.

I don't get why they are ranking this bowl game so low?

CFN had it at #25!

Seriously?

Two power programs...two historic programs...sure both lost some games but nobody stunk it up. 9-3 vs.o 9-4 but both (especially USC...really) could have at least one less loss and really two (and for USC it's two boneheaded can't cover onside kicks in consecutive games).

And it's the freakin' Holiday Bowl

One of the best and most entertaining of the non-traditional top 5 bowls.

Holiday Bowl is right behind the the Top 5 bowls. It's always been the class behind the:

1. Rose

2. Sugar

3. Fiesta

4. Orange

5. Cotton

6. Holiday Bowl

7. Outback Bowl

8. Capitol One
