The Spartans have made six Final Fours in the last 16 seasons and made 17 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Izzo, who is in his 20th year at MSU, lost three starters, including a pair of first-round draft picks, from a team which reached the Elite Eight. This season, Michigan State comes into Saturday’s game with a 13-6 record despite having several players miss time with injuries. MSU is sixth in the Big Ten at 73.4 points per game while leading the conference in 3-point percentage (.398). As is often the case, the Spartans are exceptional on the glass, leading the Big Ten in rebounding margin at +7.6 per game, while ranking second in field goal defense (.383). The Spartans are led by a trio of veterans in Denzel Valentine, Travis Trice and Branden Dawson. Valentine leads MSU with 13.8 points per game while averaging 5.8 rebounds and shooting 43 percent from long range. Trice, who is one of the Big Ten’s most improved players, is at 13.6 points and 5.6 assists per game to rank second in the Big Ten. Dawson is at 11.5 points per game while pacing the Big Ten with 9.6 rebounds an outing. In conference action, he is averaging 12.7 points and 11.3 rebounds a game. 2 Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
Huge game. This is where we need to claim home court and make our move. March Madness is still well within reach, this game is the swinging gate of the season. Probably being hyperbolic, but what the hell. Quote Link to comment
Comish
The only Saturday home game of the conference season................Riley and other coaches in the student section..........the Vault needs to be at an all-time decibel level........... Quote Link to comment

Vizsla1
Being at home, this is another winnable game. I am concerned about how sloppy we still are playing. Thought by now we would hit our groove and playing a cleaner, higher scoring game. Still plenty of games left, I guess. Quote Link to comment
tschu
Hopefully we can rely in that #9 Kenpom defense 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Okay...well you guys know that most of my Big Ten basketball picks are cash money...so here it goes... The refs will keep the home team in this game (as they tend to do in all Big Ten games) Husker fans will still bitch like little girls that the refs are not being fair even though MSU will be called for 10 more fouls Husker will lead at the half by 4 But...Huskers lose this game in the end...66 to 59 Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
Im thinking about heading down there to see if i can pick up cheaper tickets closer to game time. I don't really want to spend 35 for nosebleeds on stub hub. Quote Link to comment
