Purdue enters Sunday’s game with a 16-9 record and is in a three-way tie for second in the Big Ten with an 8-4 mark. The Boilermakers turned their season around after closing non-conference play with three straight losses and have won five of their last six games, including wins over Iowa, Indiana and Ohio State.Purdue is one of the most balanced teams in the Big Ten, with six players averaging at least 8.3 points per game. Only two starters - A.J. Hammons and Rapheal Davis - are in double figures with Hammons leading Purdue in scoring (11.0 ppg), rebounding (6.3 rpg) and a Big Ten-leading 3.0 blocked shots per game. The other newcomer who has made an impact is senior transfer Jon Octeus, who is averaging 11.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in Big Ten action.Hammonds, along with backup center Isaac Haas, gives Purdue a pair of anchors for their defense. The pair has combined for nearly four blocked shots per game in Big Ten play, as Purdue is holding teams to a Big Ten-low .387 shooting percentage in league play. Quote Link to comment
Comish
Of the games left on the schedule, this might be as good of an opportunity as any to steal a win. (Still a difficult task though with their size and our road issues). Need a win or two to finish the season above .500 and salvage any shot at post season in any tourney. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Okay, you guys have been waiting for it so here it is...my breakdown. Coaching: Goes to Matt Painter in this one (Check Purdue) Location: Purdue is not an impossible place to win but it is still an advantage (Check Purdue) Players: Nebraska has the two better options in this match up (Check Nebraska) Thoughts: I don't like the line, -7.5. Hammons is one of the oddest players in the country. When he comes out he will be a lottery pick but the guy seems like he is so bored all of the time. I think this line is a bit off and that it should only be -2. This is the same NU team as last year and there is no reason (unless the coaching is really that bad) that they don't cover. I even like them winning this game. Final score: Nebraska 63 Purdont: 61 Followed by many posts like this "Well...if we sweep Maryland and beat Illinois on the road, we could be one of the hottest teams in the country...you gotta think it would make it hard for the selection committee..." Also, side pick. Look for the badgers to blowout the Illini for the 3rd straight time at the Kohl Center... Final Score: Illinois: 61 Wisconsin: 82 Quote Link to comment

teachercd
Looks like NU catches PU being stinky... Quote Link to comment
teachercd
After 7 minutes I don't know if NU should be up by 20...down by 20...or tied. Quote Link to comment
Husker no ka oi
SMGDH score 8 points in 2 mins and now 0 points in 3 1/2 mins. We should be up bye 10-12 points. Quote Link to comment
Husker no ka oi
This team does NOT deserve any post season games. 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Last stat I saw showed that NU leads the nation in free throw defense, is that true? Quote Link to comment

teachercd
Prediction 1: Miles gets a T'ed this game. He still has not figured out that Big Ten Refs favor the home team. Quote Link to comment
