Thanks_Tom RR
ESPN generated a list of the top 24 college football HC jobs. They cited numerous factors, including... location, administrative stability, support from those bosses, facilities, recruiting base, path to conference titles/playoff, sense of tradition, fervor of fan base, too much fervor from a fan base Nebraska came in at No. 21 (which was #4 in the B1G) because... The fan base is strong. The facilities are excellent. The pockets, especially for recruiting, are as deep as anywhere in the league. This was a huge step up for Riley, make no mistake there Here is the ESPN article, and one from the OWH covering that ESPN ranking. Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
How is Nebraska not number one? Damn SEC bias Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
I would be interested to know what areas do they consider to be "deep recruiting pockets" for Nebraska. Maybe Kansas City or Chicago? Quote Link to comment
AFhusker
I would be interested to know what areas do they consider to be "deep recruiting pockets" for Nebraska. Maybe Kansas City or Chicago? I think he means pockets as in money that is allotted for recruiting. Something that Riley never had at Oregon State. Recruting isn't an issue for a coaching staff that acually likes to recruit and puts full effort into it and doesn't use excuess to try to cover up thier laziness. Quote Link to comment
