Swing passes, screens and jet sweeps - oh my!

Recommended Posts

I was impressed with the timing and execution of the plays on the beginning series of the scrimmage......they looked very sharp. I also liked the play variety and the use of our talented receivers in running plays. The only thing that concerned me about the offense was our inability to go deep with any consistency;....it won't do us much good if we're good at short plays but the defense is able to stack the line on us. In that regard it's also good that we appear to have some TE's this year.

That was one major bright spot of the day. We were already running WR/RB/TE screens very well. Sure Taylor dropped one for a pick and Leroy absolutely blew one up. But watching those, especially that TE middle screen develop, was a thing of beauty.

Once we establish that in a game I think you go deep with same action and motion
