Barfknecht: Buy your tickets for Indy; start planning the parades

Recommended Posts

Same old Barfknecht dreck. When is this guy finally give up the ghost when it comes to Pelini? He's gone. We got a new guy. We like the new guy. Why not talk about the new guy without the Bo nonsense?

Considering some of the things Pelini said and did these last few years and the fact that Riley still has not coached a Husker game, I think it is still within reason for people to make comparisons to the past regime. There are many glaring differences between then and now, I don't think it is yet time to complain because somebody spells out what some of those differences are. Besides that, with the classless way Pelini left, it begs for people to take shots at Pelini. He more than earned anything being lobbed his way.

Not a fan of Barfy at all, but it wasn't a bad read. The "Losers Limp" jab at Pelini was just that a jab. With that being said, the quote from Kevin Williams about meetings starting on time is very telling. It may not sound like much to some of you but it is very telling about how things went down under BP. Being on time is the first step in being a disciplined person and a disciplined FB player. If your HC is not disciplined enough to be on time to a meeting that he called than how can you expect your team to play disciplined football.

On top of that it is just plain rude to be late to things. I can't stand people that are constantly late for things all the time. It is one of the things that really bugs me in life.

Yeah, this was pretty harsh. I'm no Pelini apologist, in fact I really didn't like the guy, but this reads more like a message board post after a game against Wisconsin than something that belongs in a paper. Pretty revealing in some spots, but are any of us surprised or even care at this point?

Yes, people will be comparing the two for a long time to come. The only thing that could speed up the process and help put BO behind us is winning early and a lot by Riley and his staff. I'm hoping for that.

I think I am one of those readers that just likes all the articles I read. I thought it was fine and I am totally fine with anyone taking shots on other people when the feel like it is a good idea for them to do so.

I am that way too. I don't go into articles with a view that the writers has a prejudicial opinion on the coach/player/team/topic. If I find the article informative or entertaining, that's good enough for me.

I think it happened (obviously in a more muted way) while Bo was here. Bo didn't expend all that time and energy going after the media and specific media members either publicly or via phone calls (as I believe Damon Benning alluded to) because they were scared into never calling him out. They got at him, on occasion.

Yes he is right with this article. I was one that thought the whole Pelini craziness behind the the scenes were overblown and would never believe it why? Because this is The University of NEBRASKA no way would that sh#t fly here....Boy was I wrong and feel kinda dumb off not seeing through it sooner. I really do feel bad for the crap that the players went through especially the ones that called out the craziness. Why did Moore transfer was it because he was a baby and needed to be closer to dad and his girl or was it more because he couldn't stand the BS that the staff did and obviously dad thought so too. Or how about the playful video when Pelini smashed a cell phone and got into a fake fight in The hallway, no one was really shocked by it in the crowd, why? Because it was something that probably wasn't to far off of what could have happened under his watch. I am glad this article was written and by who it was. Something obviously happened between those two more then we will ever know.
