Huskball Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015 It was reported today that Ostrander from the volleyball team will be joining the women's basketball team after that season is over. I'm surprised that this doesn't happen more with senior football players going to play basketball. Indiana basketball (who was size-challenged last year) did have a TE join them last year. Just for kicks, considering Nebraska will be size-challenged as well, are there / who would be a good candidates from the football team? Most may not have the height, but at least they would be built to body the post.They would have to be seniors and probably not be trying out for the NFL. (They wouldn't risk injury if that was the case) I was thinking maybe Zach Sterup. Any others come to mind? Quote Link to comment

Rozier is a potential late first rounder in the draft next month If Randy was still here, he could be a walk-on candidate. Alonzo was pretty good in HS. Quote Link to comment

Back in the day it was interesting to watch the football players play intramural basketball. Dave Volk was hard to guard. Sterup would probably help out next year. Wonder if DPE can handle?
