teachercd
Most staffs will honor the old offers...but if they don't want a kid they might call him and let him know that it might be hard to find playing time. Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
Loving the speed Frost is recruiting.... Fun fact: Frost's first offer when he took over at UCF -- he googled the Florida high school state track champions, and got the phone number of the guy who won the 200m. Called him and said he has a spot if he wants it. The dude gets it. 2 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
So I'm not at all discounting what Frost said - and has been reported by others - that it was a really tough decision and he didn't really decide for sure until a week ago or so. But it's obvious from the recruiting front that they've been doing their homework for some time on what Nebraska needs - especially as it pertains to their system - and who would be candidates to go after. 4 Quote Link to comment

From what I am seeing we are going after a lot of guys UCF had offered and Frost's staff had a lot of interest. These candidates likely were more inclined to go to a Power 5 program. This makes total sense to me if these recruits were wanting to play in Frost's offense but didn't commit to UCF because of wanting to play in a Power 5. Well that problem is gone! Frost and staff can compete against any program in the country and with a definite identity for what the offense will be. Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
It's possible that the recruiting we're seeing was homework done by the staff in Lincoln, particularly Kenny Wilhite 2 Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Frost and Co has offered 3 safeties and a cornerback since becoming coach. The shortest one is listed at 6'-2". This is a good thing. 1 Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Frost and Co have offered 6 JUCO players in 48 hours. Riley and Co offered 0 in 3 years. This should be evidence that Frost probably doesn't like everything he sees from the upperclassmen. 4 Quote Link to comment

I was just coming here to post something similar. I'm happy to see Frost hitting the JUCOs hard! After some good pulls by Pelini, Riley grossly neglected them. Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
Frost needs speed and he needs guys that can come in and play and help establish his culture. I am all for bringing in a group of JUCOs and early enrollees. Everyone on this team will start at square one in January. Time to get this rocking 2 Quote Link to comment
MyBloodIsRed16
I think Frost and company are going to take a page out of Charlie McBride's book. Big safeties will now be fast OLBs and Lbs will be fast pass rushing DE. Quote Link to comment
QMany
Between IWCC and the Kansas Jayhawk Conference, we have some top JUCO talent in our backyard that we need to poach! We used to thrive in the Jayhawk: Larry Asante (Coffeyville), Jamarcus Hardrick (Fort Scott), Stanley Jean-Baptiste (Fort Scott), Lavonte Davis (Fort Scott). Currently, SEVEN of the Top-30 JUCO recruits are in the Jayhawk Conference, and one more is at IWCC. 4 Quote Link to comment

Definitely agree with your points. But to be fair, they did OFFER several JUCO guys. Just didn't sign any. And you can make an argument that they weren't really trying that hard.
