Scratchtown
Big 10 has 7 in the top 25 as of 10:45pm CST on July 2nd. I'm curious. When has the Big 10 ever started off this "good"? I don't follow recruiting as much as I used to and the reason is, because stars don't usually mean anything. 4 Big 10 East teams are in the top 10! However, on Rivals the Big 10 rankings are as follows. 1. Ohio State (3) 2. Michigan State (4) 3. Michigan (6) 4. Penn State (10) 5. Northwestern (20) 6. Iowa (23) 7. Maryland (24) 8. Wisconsin (30) 9. Rutgers (32) 10. Nebraska (33) 11. Minnesota (38) 12. Purdue (49) 13. Illinois (t60) 14. Indiana (t68)Side note. Texas is 51st, and Oklahoma is 59th (Struck me as weird.) 1 Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
Outside of OSU, MSU, Mich, PSU, and Nebraska it's quantity over quality right now. Some other schools just have a lot of commits for July but come February they'll be way down in the rankings most likely. Quote Link to comment

Red Five
I would look at the 247 composite team rankings as they integrate 247, Rivals, Scout and ESPN. Probably a more accurate picture. As of July 3rd, we're #24 overall and #5 in the B1G. 1 - Ohio St (3) 16 commits 2 - Penn St (6) 15 commits 3 - Michigan St (7) 20 commits 4 - Michigan (8) 20 commits 5 - Nebraska (24)12 commits 6 - Iowa (25) 20 commits 7 - Wisconsin (27) 14 commits 8 - Northwestern (29) 18 commits 9 - Maryland (30) 16 commits 10 - Rutgers (34) 16 commits 11 - Minnesota (39) 11 commits 12 - Purdue (56) 10 commits 13 - Illinois (59) 9 commits 14 - Indiana (70) 8 commits But as Sam M mentioned a week or so ago, we may be in the beginning of B1G Recruiting Renaissance. 1 Quote Link to comment
huKSer
At 20 commits, MSU, Michigan and Iowa might be pretty much maxed out. Quote Link to comment
Norhusker
At 20 commits, MSU, Michigan and Iowa might be pretty much maxed out. I think so too. With Bondi now gone we have another scholarship available as well. I'm guessing 25+ guys coming in for this years class. If we are selective ( unlike Iowa IMO) , then we should be in the top 15-25 range when the final rankings come out. Quote Link to comment
