Danny Bateman
Apparently, I've screwed up my FIrefox somehow. Have no idea what I did since I've never had this problem before. For some reason, it is consistently crashing by fading to gray and then not responding until I kill the process. It seems to happen a lot when I open up a new tab to Huskerboard lately, which sucks. Things I've tried: 1) Restarting computer 2) Deleting HB cookies (worked ok for a while, but the problem has recurred) 3) Manually installing newest version of Shockwave (seems to be a shockwave problem) 4) Refreshing Firefox (basically, a reset to default settings) Certain things seem to trigger this quicker than others-- accessing my profile popup at the top of the page (where you enter statuses, etc.) is problematic. Any idea what this might be? I was wondering if anyone else had had this issue lately. I'm guessing it's just me, and I suppose I'll try a full uninstall and reinstall of Firefox if nothing else fixes it. Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
Firefox Version? Go to Help > About Firefox. And you're certain this is only an issue when opening Huskerboard? Doesn't sound like something that would be site specific, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
One thought is that it could be a bad extension - in particular, one that affects JavaScript. You might try disabling all extensions and then adding them back one-by-one, and as you do, visit the site and see what happens. Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
Atbone, you're definitely right in saying it's unlikely the issue is on Huskerboard's end. I just wanted to check on here on the offchance someone else was experiencing similar issues. I'm thinking you were probably correct AR. I tried opening Firefox in Safe Mode with fluff disabled, but it froze up quickly. I ended up renaming my old Mozilla folders and reinstalling Firefox. It seems to have corrected the issue. Thanks for the help guys! Quote Link to comment
