zoogs
But that's simply not what we have. BYU did not have Taysom Hill at QB for their game against Michigan and even though Tanner Mangum showed good composure and ability against Boise State and UCLA, fact is he's still a freshman and there was bound to be some regression to the mean. He wasn't going to go out and set the world on fire in every one of his starts. Yeah, that's a great point. Magnum completed one (improbable) throw against us. Hill played zero snaps. Of course, we'll see how Nebraska and Michigan both end up this year. In both cases it'll be a function of both the job the new coaching staffs do, and the kind of roster and team makeup they inherited. +1 for "regression to the mean" Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
Why do you ask a question that you already know the answer to? Quote Link to comment
Walk_On_Reject
Oh no, I didn't say we should recruit Harbaugh. However, he is a good measuring stick against what we are up against in our quest for relevance. As a wise philosopher once said: "If you want to be the man, you've got t beat the man!" and "Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!: 2 Quote Link to comment
RADAR
Might be that BYU has played Murders Row and ran out of gas, but will credit you with this. Dumbest thread of the week! We should have a trophy. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
The sad part is jake ruddock is their starting QB and they will win more games than us Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
The sad part is jake ruddock is their starting QB and they will win more games than us Nobody knows if Michigan will win more games than Nebraska this year. Who knows? Maybe Rudock will play awful for the next 4 games and Michigan will lose 3 of those 4 games. In that same stretch, Nebraska's secondary could figure it out in the next weeks and we could win our next 4. There's no saying what is going to happen in the next 4 weeks, and we could be very well saying different things then than we have in the first 4 weeks. The ONLY thing we know, and the ONLY thing that should have our attention is what we've done so far and why things aren't going as well as we thought. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaShellback
Michigan beat BYU 31- zip, does that answer your question. Quote Link to comment
commando
i watched some of the highlights from the michigan/byu game. that michigan defensive line was crushing BYU's offensive line. could personel have a little bit of something to do with your comparison? Quote Link to comment
GOAT
Come on, is this really even up for debate? Harbaugh is widely considered to be one of the best football coaches, on any level, in the nation. Riley is considered to be, well, a nice guy. Quote Link to comment
corncraze
Harbaugh certainly has the better track-record in both the NFL and college football. Have to say it's him until Riley proves otherwise. Quote Link to comment

Husker67
So many are taking this thread seriously. Me, too. I want to add Charlie Strong, Jim McElwain, and James Franklin to it. What about Tom Herman at Houston? Bo Pelini at Youngstown State? 1 Quote Link to comment
