Harbaugh-Riley; who's the better coach now?

Recommended Posts

But that's simply not what we have. BYU did not have Taysom Hill at QB for their game against Michigan and even though Tanner Mangum showed good composure and ability against Boise State and UCLA, fact is he's still a freshman and there was bound to be some regression to the mean. He wasn't going to go out and set the world on fire in every one of his starts.

Yeah, that's a great point. Magnum completed one (improbable) throw against us. Hill played zero snaps. Of course, we'll see how Nebraska and Michigan both end up this year. In both cases it'll be a function of both the job the new coaching staffs do, and the kind of roster and team makeup they inherited.

+1 for "regression to the mean" :D

The sad part is jake ruddock is their starting QB and they will win more games than us

Nobody knows if Michigan will win more games than Nebraska this year. Who knows? Maybe Rudock will play awful for the next 4 games and Michigan will lose 3 of those 4 games. In that same stretch, Nebraska's secondary could figure it out in the next weeks and we could win our next 4.

There's no saying what is going to happen in the next 4 weeks, and we could be very well saying different things then than we have in the first 4 weeks. The ONLY thing we know, and the ONLY thing that should have our attention is what we've done so far and why things aren't going as well as we thought.
