AFhusker
I don't think Gerry is even in consideration to get drafted. He doesn't have the tools to play at the next level. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I think Westerkamp will definitely get a shot; he has some of the best hands in CFB. Depending on how he performs at the combine, he should be a late-rounder or will take the UFA routeCue all the comparisons to small, white slot receivers in the NFL.Yeah, you're probably right -- I still think he'll get a shot to make a roster, though. With guys like Welker, Amendola, and Edelman making a name for themselves (less Amendola), if they can get in the right system, he'll have a shot. No mention of Wayne Chrebet, Steve Largent, or Brandon Stokley? Quote Link to comment

I don't see it with Gerry either. Although he has a lot of interceptions, I think he is terrible in pass coverage. Quote Link to comment
NUinID
Up until this last weekend, Nate Gerry hasn't played all that great this year. IMO he played his best game against Minnesota. His run support was very good and he played better in pass defense. Westerkamp will get a chance to play. He is not ready yet, but give him another year and he will be better. He also needs a better QB to get him the ball. He would fit perfectly into NE or Denver's offense. He has possession slot receiver in the NFL written all over him. BTW all NE has is white receivers they are all either 6'7" or 5'10". That is not true I actually saw 1 black WR on their team. Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Confident drafted: Collins, VV, Nick Gates (might switch to OG in NFL), DPE. Above Average Chance: MRI, Gerry, Westy, Moore, Bando, Jano. Young but have shown the talent in college to be in above convo soon: Young, Stanley Morgan. 3 Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
MRI injuries will worry some teams, I think gerry would need to go ton the right team to be succesful, Collins should have a very successful career, could you image him, Suh, and wake together in Miami?? Quote Link to comment

Yeah....the only thing Westerkamp and Nelson have in common is they are white and play WR. Not even a remotely fair comparison to Westerkamp there. Nelson is a monster. Quote Link to comment
Xmas32
Which current Huskers will be drafted, and which Huskers wil make an NFL roster? Below are my locks to be drafted in injuries do not come into play: Collins VV Gerry Jano Huskers destined to play in the NFL who may not get drafted DPE - may not get drafted because he is 5'9" Foltz - punters rarely get drafted, but he has Ray Guy skills TA - TA has size, speed & toughness, he won't be an NFL QB, but like Frost, if he is willing to change positions, he can make an NFL roster I'd be really surprised if Janovich gets drafted but I do think he'll be able to carve out a nice career for himself in the NFL if he can stay healthy. I guess if Damion Stafford can get drafted Gerry has a shot right? Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
I think Ozigbo may get drafted by the end of his career. He has the body size for a NFL back and unlike Cross, he runs like it too. Stanley Morgan for sure will get a look as he improves here. Davis twins? Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
I think Banderas could end up playing in the NFL for a few years. Anybody with that type of speed could find himself on an NFL roster. Agree. Quote Link to comment

True2tRA
Chris Weber Good pick too. I hope Weber keeps getting opportunities to show what he can do once he gets healthy. The guy is a great athlete, tough kid too and seems to have the smarts for this game from what we've seen from him. Whereever the ball goes, Weber is right there. Quote Link to comment
