It was an even game for the first quarter, and they were in it until right before half when UConn went on a 3-4 basket run. They had some trouble with the pressure UConn brought. It also seemed like the ball just didn't want to bounce in for the Huskers. Shepard didn't have the best game- some freshmen mistakes- needed to fill in down low on some UConn drives to the basket. Theriot ran herself ragged and put in a heck of an effort. One thing reminded me of the Iowa football game actually. The ladies let UConn have too many offensive rebounds. Can't give a team like UConn any more chances. Overall, I really don't think it was a bad game at all. I think they could leave with their heads up. UConn is a heck of a team- no shame in losing to them. In my opinion they're almost too good. Had season tickets one year, and frankly it got boring watching them win by 50+ every game. 2 Quote Link to comment
