Redux Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 From what little I saw of him in the spring game, he kinda looked like a more athletically gifted TA with worse decision making throwing the ball. I would be happy if he stayed to add depth at QB or maybe a move to Defense? 1 Quote Link to comment
Porter Posted January 6, 2016 Author Share Posted January 6, 2016 I'm not sure what he's like as a QB. Everything the coaches said last spring pretty much had him as becoming the starter in fall because the other QBs couldn't handle the offense. Then he had a ho-hum spring game and his reps were cut to nothing. Hard to get better in practice when the coaches won't let you run the offense. He had a habit of moving in high school so it doesn't surprise me. But I hate to see a good kid who from all accounts is a good teammate leave. I think sometimes these kids to to remember its also about getting an education. Of course. . .nothing has been official yet. I'm sure with school starting here shortly we'll know how many kids might be leaving. Quote Link to comment

NUinID Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 I hope he stays, but he isn't a qb in this system. He could play multiple positions. WR is the most logical choice, but IMO he could play safety also. At 6'3" and 220 with his arm span he could put on some lbs and even play DE. He was a project coming into the system even under the old regime, I just don't think his future is at qb. 1 Quote Link to comment
