If we are looking at Nick Pickett and Jamire Calvin at the same position, I like Nick a lot better. Jamire hasn't impressed me. He's tiny for the next level and doesn't have blazing speed, he ran a 4.6 40 at the Nike sparq.

Nick seems more instinctive to me. I actually really like him as a DB but he also breaks and runs great routes for a WR.

Well, I'll trust Williams' evaluation over yours, no offense. Calvin's film is damn impressive. I don't know if he had a bad day, but he's ran a 4.49 electronic at other camps. And he is blazing fast on the field.

I agree. I have seen a lot of smaller guys be big playmakers at this level and the NFL, especially on Riley's teams at OSU with Brandin Cooks and Jacquizz Rodgers.

For reference purposes only, the #21 player in the country for 2017 according to 247 is a 5 star WR named Tyjon Lindsey. He is listed as 5-81/2".

It's all about play making ability

I understand. And I agree, if Williams sees something in this kid and Riley does too then I must be missing something. Let me ask you this, what about bringing in Nick Pickett as a DB? He's got skills there, no joke. He also has length like Stew wants. You have to wonder if they might recruit him over there since I have seen ATH in a lot of his write ups.

I don't think the defense is suitable to short DB's anymore. I think Pickett would be a wasted talent on the defensive side of the ball.

My apologies. I mistakenly wrote about Calvin.

With regards to Pickett. If they can convince him to commit as a DB, I am all for it.
