Red Five
The best needs to be POB. No pressure, kid. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
In would go: 1 - POB - Four year starter (hopefully the next four) 2 - Lamar Jackson - Freak athlete who will get plenty of chances 3 - Matt Farniok - Assuming he stays at OT he'll play a lot 4 - John Raridon - Only question is how quickly he gets on the field with some talent ahead of him 5 - Caleb Lightbourn - Four year starter but hopefully doesn't get a lot of chances at P, plenty at KO Specialist Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
Alabama, their whole damn class! Quote Link to comment
Lakehusker
Oline class in general. Know a lot of guys who played for cav in past. Great coach. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
The best needs to be POB. No pressure, kid.Man, a lot of how we'll view this class in 3-4 years rests on that guy's shoulders. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
I hope POB has the best career. Having him here in the spring certainly helps. I don't think he'll unseat TA. Although many may be hoping for it. Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
POB- talent and position of need Raridon- see above Jackson- elite talent, will help with bankers quarters coverage JoJo- the idea of moving him to LB w/ his athleticism and nose for the ball will translate well to Bankers "spill" philosophy, can cover sideline to sideline. Greg Simmons- dude is huge and could play as true frosh Grim/Spielman are the two guys I might be anticipating the most. Those are the two with the type of skill set that will open up the offense and create matchup nightmares. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
1) Lamar Jackson 2) JD Spielman 3) John Raridon 4) Patrick O'Brien 5) Tre Bryant Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I have to go with POB as the #1 in terms of most crucial signee. I think they found a very special QB prospect here. He's what makes the core of this class so solid, because goodness knows that was a substantial need. As for the rest, there are *a lot* of solid prospects. I don't know how I'd begin to differentiate a Raridon or Farniok or Jackson or Dismuke, etc. It's a fun class. Quote Link to comment

84HuskerLaw
I voted but I could include atleast 10 in 'my favorites' category. I think Grimm and Spiehlman are both special players with the kind of 'every time they touch the ball, the crowd will stand' skills. They will be exccedlingly fun and thrilling to watch. Match up nightmares if we put a tall possession reciever and couple of the excellent tight ends out there. A diverse passing attack coupled with power I and even some option running game. The defensive coordinator will not know how to personnel for us. The guys we have coupled with the players we are adding will be almost impossible to game plan for. We can be 'Fun & Gun' or "Run & Run" with a substitution grouping. The challenge is getting O linemen who can run and pass pro well with power. Our line is getting better and with the upgraded weight training (Boyd is back!) the 'pipeline' can be rebuilt over the coming three years. We are having much better luck finding 'skill' players and if the 2017 class ends up being all its got the potential to be, we will be well on our way back to the elite program group. No more third place divsion finishes - we will be relevant nationally. The national media has had plenty of time to kick us while we are down and soon we will be the 'cinderella' team that will quickly reignite the Husker passion across the nation. In 1997 after all the success we were "America's team". We have many millions of fans all over the country that are anxious for us to return. Husker Nation is for real, although it has been dormant, it is not dead! I am excited. I also expect Riley and company to pick up a few more guys over the coming months via transfers, etc. Guys come out of the woodwork. I.M. Hipp while not a great RB was certainly a great example. He hitchhiked from S.Carolina to Lincoln to try to walk on without even being known. That was the 1970s. Nebraska football is still a great and recognized name. Many coaches know of Nebraska football. While the H.S. players may not remember the legends, their dads and coaches still do. Many will remember them with a degree of awe and respect and appreciation not found with the modern champions. Quote Link to comment
