If he tears it up his senior season, we should offer him. I do not know what the staff will do, but we cannot lose this kid out to an Iowa or Kansas State because he is a great player. Him and Moses Bryant are the two kids in Nebraska that deserve offers, the rest of the class can be elite talent that we go after in other states.

...

Talk to me when he has multiple P5 offers, like the other kids we should pass on apparently.

Why should we have to wait when he has multiple p5 offers? Drew Ott did not have that many...... Also look at Sean Cal's tweet. If he is that good at a camp and shows the staff he is a great football player during his senior season we should give him an offer. So he will get one most likely in October/November, but if he is tearing up the camps he will get one earlier.

We should recruit the best players in our state and he is deserving of one, the d lineman guy is a plan b at the moment. Moses Bryant will get one most likely, unless Davis recruits some stud running back.

I don't think it's likely this kid ot Bryant gets one.

With Coach Davis's recruiting being so great (/s), it would not surprise me if we whiffed on our top targets and had to resort to offering Bryant as a running back. The McCook player is a guy I would want, but we will have to wait and see how his senior year goes. If he plays unreal the staff will probably offer, if he does not tear it up he will most likely be going lower D1.

I don't think Bradley is a P5 RB. Now if we missed out on a bunch of WR's or DB's I could see him getting a late offer. But with Williams and Williams I doubt we miss out on that many.

Freudian Slip for Bryant? ;)

Here's my cold take: All in-state Nebraska players that are clearly as talented as Bryson Williams should have priority over any other recruit, from the same position, from another state.

Why? Because they're in our back yard, more than likely they WANT to come to Nebraska, and they're much easier to recruit.

If that means our coaches have to re-adjust their recruiting board and move players around, then so be it.

Somebody smarter than me once said: Recruit the heart of the team from within the state of Nebraska, and then import the speed.

But he's not as talented as some of the other guys..thats the whole problem. The staff isn't stupid. If guys are around the same talent level from out of state to in-state who do you think they'll go after?

Expect the fact Williams was raised in Illinois and is not enamored with Nebraska Football.

Plus the recruiting outlets reporting that he has a school there that is lesser in athletic reputation but greater in academic reputation that he would accept over Nebraska. NW is my speculation there. It's a slap in the face if we offer then he says no thanks I'm headed to ....... (lessor school).

I'm glad we took Suh over some other in-stater...

A+ job on missing the core concept of what I said.

@Warrior10...So because he wasn't born in Nebraska (although he currently lives in the state) we shouldn't count him as an in-state recruit worth trying to keep?

@Decked...no one, certainly not me, is saying the "...staff is stupid..." And if it is a genuine tie (in terms of talent) between an in-state and out-of-state kid, I would hope the staff would go after the in-state kid first.

No we should consider him an "in-state" recruit. But your statement of we should take him over national guys because he "WANTS" to be here, may be false in this case.

Sure if we offer we may end up being who he chooses, but reportedly his "dream school" is much closer to home....aka the state of Illinois.

IIRC he moved here his 8th or FR year, so he's only been in the state 3-4 years of his life.

So you'd take him over the top ranked DT in the country, because he lives in Nebraska?

If "talent" is equal...YES!

Except for the fact that the talent is not equal. He is a good payer but Trevor Trout is better than him and so are some of the other Defensive lineman we are after. If we miss out on the big fish we can offer him later, but most likely he is heading back to Illinois to play at N'western if they offer him.
