Transfers

Don't rule out Jordy Tshimanga just yet, but I believe he is a Boston College lean, our advantage here is they are terrible compared to us. Or else it is wait and see after the tourney and maybe some big will want to transfer, because without a big this next year we wont be making the NCAA tournament. The transfers I remember off the top of my head: Gorjak Gok 6-11 kid okie lite, has not said he will transfer but coach ford was fired, Addonnis De la Rosa if we can sway him from Kent State he is a 7 footer and would be a freshman. Also a 6-9 kid Robinson Idehen from California I believe and I do not know what he is rated by the services. Verbal commits says we are in on 5 star Marques Bolden but he is a long shot and it would be a miracle if he came here. Those are the bigs that I know of that Nebraska is after.

Edit: Gorjak Gak is a freshman so he would be in the class of 2016

Marques Bolden would start every game he ever played at Nebraska but he will never play for the Big Red.

At this point, i think you go Grad-transfer route.

The name thrown around not too long ago was Mangok Mathiang- 6'10 JR from Louisville.

I think we lose 1-2 guys, so there would be room for 2-3 guys maybe.

Jordy Tshimanga is still a possibility, but really think anyone we are looking to bring in is someone who can play right away. I dont want to wait a year for them to sit out.

I dont think we are in on any other kids for this class outside of Jordy.

I would be perfectly fine if we lost Hammond or Fuller. I think both guys should go to a lower level and get playing time.

IF we lose those two, we need to add size with all 3 spots. Maybe a backup PG.

Dont think Watson and Evelyn can handle the load?

Ya, i specifically started this post about transfers that can play right away. Either grad transfers or like kids from Hawaii with 1 year of eligibility left that can transfer without penalty b/c of post season ban next year and sanctions from a previous coach. Not real interested in kids that have to sit a year unless they are just a cant pass up type player which is unlikely.

I think Watson will be fine. No idea what we can expect with Bakari and i like Tai better as a 2 guard than a 1.

By no means do we need to add someone there, but wouldnt be awful.

If we could get Tshimanga and that Tulane big Osetowski I think could be really helpful for us. Osetowski averages 8 rebounds per game, so that should help because overall we are not a great rebounding team. He is 6'9 and 255, so I think he could be able to guard BIG post players

Exactly! We need some mass inside that can push ppl around for rebounds and who can block some shots and play defense. We don't really need a big scoring threat at the 5 spot but we do need a 6'10" guy with coordination and who can move. Our problem since Miles has been here is we've never had that. So we take these 6'8" guys who should play the 3-4 and make them play out of position, which minimizes their skill set and makes them look bad. Ed Morrow should never be a 5. Jacobson should never be a 5. Hammond was a miss completely. If we can free up Morrow and Jacobson to play the 4, we will see a lot more production out of them.
