Huskerzoo
If someone can clean up my messy post please do. but There's a rivals teaser that says "5-star DL Shelvin wants to visit Huskers and Tide on spring break 5-star DT Tyler Shelvin has been committed to LSU for over a year, but he isn’t finished with the process just yet." Figure it should be noted that our new DL coach is putting in work. 1 Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Really interested in academics and academic support. Wants to visit Neb and Bama over his break. Only schools he mentioned was LSU, Bama and us. 2 Quote Link to comment
Redux
If we could land this one I would be amazed, get to work staff! Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
This is all Parrella. From what I heard, Shelvin's interest in Nebraska has come from listening to Parella talk about the position, his coaching philosophy, and what he expects from his DL. 5 Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Flipping an Ed Orgeron 5-star recruit from LSU while fending off Alabama would instantly give Parrella a huge amount of street cred in recruiting. Just the fact that he has shown any interest at all gives me hope Parrella will be just fine on the recruiting trail. 1 Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
Parrella is and will be dynamite on the recruiting trail. We are talking about a guy that oozes enthusiasm and loves the DL and going to battle in a phone booth. The future is very bright up front Quote Link to comment

If this is 100% accurate, then just wait until he can add in the academic support, great facilities, great game day atmosphere and the rabid fan base. If this is true, and we can get him here for a visit or a game, HE is N. Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Recent LSU article mentions Neb but briefly and seems Bama is the real comp. Quote Link to comment

Also, Warrior, of course they consider Alabama as the real competition. I bet Alabama didn't think they were going to have so much tug from Nebraska for KJJ either. 1 Quote Link to comment

But I think with Saban losing top assistants this off season we may see a down year recruiting wise for Alabama, a down year being maybe 5-8 nationally Quote Link to comment

I know, just putting into perspective what an article not from a Husker guy includes. Really impressive that we are in the talks for this guy, but lots of times the talk doesn't lead to anything. gbr93
Saw he decided to open his recruitment even more. Added some more teams to the three he was already considering. 1 Quote Link to comment
