This should go without saying...but we pretty much need to sweep them, no question about it. Our schedule has us playing probably three of the five weakest teams in the B1G right now--there's no excuse for the Illinois series, and here's hoping the kids realize it's now or never to get their head screwed on straight and playing ball like they can.

Agreed. Weird to say, but this weekend's series is HUGE. Only because we need to take advantage and sweep them in order to get back on track. Anything less is honestly detrimental.

It is surprisingly difficult to stomp a mudhole in Northwestern even though on paper it seems like it shouldn't be. Can't complain too much about beating them, no matter how stressful the game itself is.

The pitcher they had going tonight is pretty good. He beat tOSU earlier this year and also beat NU 2 years ago.

Oh, I know. 2-1 in 12 innings, heard the radio guys bring that game back up several times. But I'm sure somebody on the OWH comment section or wherever is complaining about a close game against a team with a losing record. Throw records out the window when you're playing Northwestern
