The General Election

I don't know what's scarier - the fact that Team Trump believes Trump son Donald Jr. is a good spokesperson for the campaign, or that Trump's followers believe he is.

Here's the latest on the tax returns. It's no longer about an IRS audit, it's that releasing the Return would "distract from the message."

And again, Trump's sycophants will accept this as a reasonable answer. And continue to proclaim "Hillary lies."

Trump's son: Tax returns 'detract' from political message

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump's son has a new reason to explain why his father won't release his tax returns: They'll steal from his political message.

"Because he's got a 12,000-page tax return that would create ... financial auditors out of every person in the country asking questions that would detract from (his father's) main message," Donald Trump, Jr. told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review in a piece published Wednesday.

That's a dramatic shift from the Republican nominee's longtime explanation that an ongoing audit is preventing him from releasing his tax returns. (There are no laws barring Trump from disclosing his tax returns while he is being audited).

Once again....the biggest fraud of his campaign.

It's a situation where the cover up (non-disclosure) is a bigger story than the original issue......unless there is something to cover up.

Donald - listen up - We can handle the TRUTH! :o There is something in that tax report like there is something in Hill's doc reports - they just don't want us common people to see. I wonder why :dunno:sarcasm

Trump says he would eliminate food safety regs

“The FDA Food Police, which dictate how the federal government expects farmers to produce fruits and vegetables and even dictates the nutritional content of dog food,” it read.

“The rules govern the soil farmers use, farm and food production hygiene, food packaging, food temperatures and even what animals may roam which fields and when,” the statement continued. "It also greatly increased inspections of food “facilities,” and levies new taxes to pay for this inspection overkill."

The FDA recently completed an overhaul of the food safety system with seven rules to better protect consumers from food-borne illnesses. Manufacturers of both animal and human food are now required to implement preventive controls to minimize the risk of contaminating food when it’s manufactured, processed, packed or held by a facility.

Food-borne illnesses on cruise ships

Chipotle

Didn't current food regulations stop those from breaking out in the first place? Oh wait, they didn't!

We have car safety regulations, but people die in car accidents everyday. So lets eliminate those regulations.

Totally. Same with work safey relations. Let's go back to the 19th century, y'all. The fact even ONE person is saying these statements is okay is just mind-blowing. I guess we deserve this dumbass.

what in the holy f*

OMG the FDA monitors food temperatures. Pfft damn the government ruling our lives by keeping us from f*ing dying.

This effing sh**stain can't get any dumber.

Don't we currently have food regulations? but we see issues all the time, what gives?

This is really your reply? You thought it all through and this is what you came up with?

Don't we currently make efforts to stop terrorism? But terrorist attacks happen in the U.S. anyway. What gives?

Do you really want to go there?

Does Trump want to go there?

Let's not do any monitoring of anyone and let anyone who wants come into the country. Because terrorist attacks happen anyway. It's okay if another 9/11 happens. It'll happen anyway.

You seriously think because there have been disease outbreaks that none of these policies stop the others? You think because one person got a vaccine and got sick we should stop getting vaccinated? You think because we've had a couple terrorist attacks that zero have been thwarted?

Really?

The funny thing is that Don Jr. was getting talked up by plenty in the GOP after the RNC as someone who should run and challenge Cuomo for governor of New York.

Oy, what a shitshow of a quote that is. On top of Don's FDA bit? It's like they're not even trying anymore.

We've gone from "Holy crap, that's totally inappropriate to say," or "wow, that's objectively, factually stupid," to "Tee hee hee, that Trump, he don't take no crap. He'll say anything! That's why I like him!"

It honestly makes me a bit disappointed in America.

Knapp I couldn't get the picture to paste on here but this pic sums up your statement.

I saw this today, and Silver also said the current trend lines of the US election are closely following those of the Brexit vote, where about 45 days out, the vote was pretty much tied.
