famoustitles
Interesting - that was discussed here last week when it first was announced and we weren't first ... I think in this poll they must have carved out some "top recruits". Not that it lessons the fact that we are on the list at all. Ya I'm not sure where the discrepancy came from either. This poll has us tied with Tennessee with ten votes while before Tennessee was voted most annoying with 9 votes. And I think Nebraska was tied for 14th. So I'm not sure Quote Link to comment
Sker4Ever
https://twitter.com/TremendousUM/status/820023218278989826 Obviously our fans would seem annoying to a bunch of kids, none of whom are coming here to play. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Shoot...most of the posters on this site are the most annoying posters too! 1 Quote Link to comment
FLHuskerGBR
I don't do it but there is no problem following a recruit. The recruits actually like the follows. The problem is just following doesn't let the recruit know who is following them. Are these follows from Neb., Michigan, or Ohio St. If Nebraska fans don't tweet anything at the recruits and the Mich and Ohio St fans are tweeting at them the assumption the recruit will draw is Mich and Ohio St fans like, want, and appreciate him more. Probably has an effect on the recruit. I think a good rule for Neb fans would be to tweet at the recruit "#GBR" when they follow and maybe a "welcome aboard: when they commit. That is it. The coaches are letting the recruits know why Nebraska is great, that the fans are great, the program's great history, the fact we need a great RB or whatever in this class. The begging is the worst. 1 Quote Link to comment
FLHuskerGBR
I think this is analogous to going to watch a football game. Players want people to come watch but don't want fans screaming at them instructions and/or hurling insults. You go to the game with your jersey on and cowbell in hand and cheer. That's it. NM11046
Someone should report him to twitter Have - all his accounts - reported him as harassing and bullying but nothings been done. He's blocked me from everything so I can't even see what he's up to in order to continue reporting. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Someone should report him to twitter Have - all his accounts - reported him as harassing and bullying but nothings been done. He's blocked me from everything so I can't even see what he's up to in order to continue reporting. Unless the recruits report him for harassment, is there anything Twitter can really do? NM11046
Supposedly you're not allowed to create multiple, fake accounts ... he does that too. I agree though, unless a recruit does it I'm sure it's getting no play. They've got bigger (ah hem) things to manage account-wise, like Trump. Quote Link to comment
Hedley Lamarr
So is wrong of me to tweet at a recruit when they commit and tell them congrats and welcome to husker nation? Quote Link to comment
Landlord
It's not 'wrong', but you still shouldn't do it. 3 Quote Link to comment
