Klondike Cat
I spent 4 years living near Boise, Idaho and decided to move back to Omaha. I met some cool people in Idaho, but it's great to be back home. In Idaho I belonged to a club named Idaho Huskers. Nebraska fans met for every game in a pub to cheer on our team together. It was a little like bringing a piece of home there. Even so, it's great to be back. 4 Quote Link to comment
NUance
Congrats on the move back to the motherland. This fall you won't have to worry about finding a Husker bar to watch the games. All bars in Omaha are Husker bars on game day! Quote Link to comment

teachercd
I don't know if I notice the bars being as packed as they were in the past… I can remember having to hit a sports bar a good 3 to 4 hours before a husker game. It doesn't seem that way anymore. And the 11 o'clock games a lot of the bars still just open up at 10 AM or even right 11. Quote Link to comment
Klondike Cat
Idaho Huskers meet at a bar named Beef O'Brady's in Meridian, Idaho near Boise. It's also the bar used by Ohio State fans. When games are on at the same time, we're segregated to one side of the bar while OS is on the other. You'll be watching a game and all of a sudden hear a bunch of people cheer at the wrong times. It's bizarre. Before Beef O'Brady's it was at Hooters in Boise, but they closed down. I've come home to find out that the Hooters in Omaha where I used to watch games has also closed down. I guess the company isn't doing so well. Quote Link to comment

grandpasknee
Opposite here...moved to Phoenix in February. But it seems there is a huge Husker contingent here. Oddly, to show how effective Facebook advertising has gotten (and how much privacy they invade) I got an ad on my feed for "Huskers in the Valley of the Sun" t-shirts....jeez... Quote Link to comment
