The academics could be it and they must be really really bad grades commit to Illinois over any other legitimate p5 schoolexcept illinois is a really hard school to get into so that doesn't make sense either A verbal doesn't mean anything. Ya, for your regular person trying to attend for school, it may be. There are VERY few schools that do not have a different qualifying standard for athletes than they do other students. The NCAA has qualifying standards and most schools just use that for athletes. Quote Link to comment
