Scratchtown
Here are all of the schools that have finished in the top 10 since 1960. However this is based on a metric on mcubed.net, and I'm not sure how they determined some of the scores for certain programs. It is done through some sort of "score" though. By eyeballing it, I felt it was pretty accurate even though there are a couple obscure ones in there like Navy's only top 10 appearance was last year. In the human polls, they finished 18th. In any case. Here you go http://mcubed.net/ncaaf/year.shtml Alabama - 29 Oklahoma - 25 Nebraska - 24 Ohio St - 23 Florida St - 22 Penn St - 21 Michigan - 20 Texas - 20 USC - 20 Florida - 20 Notre Dame - 18 Auburn - 16 Georgia - 16 Miami, FL - 16 Tennessee - 13 (1 of theirs was a tie for 10th, the only tie for 10th in the entire sample) LSU - 12 UCLA - 11 Michigan St - 9 Texas A&M - 9 Arkansas - 9 Colorado - 8 Boise St - 8 Clemson - 7 Washington - 7 Pittsburgh - 7 Oregon - 6 Houston - 6 Kansas St - 6 West Virginia - 6 Arizona St - 6 Stanford - 5 Iowa - 5 TCU - 5 Virginia Tech - 5 BYU - 5 Toledo - 5 Yale - 5 Ole Miss - 5 Missouri - 4 Miami, OH - 4 North Carolina - 4 Georgia Tech - 3 Louisville - 3 Oklahoma St - 3 Kansas - 3 Texas Tech - 3 Utah - 3 Wisconsin - 3 Syracuse - 3 Bowling Green - 3 Wyoming - 3 San Diego St - 3 Dartmouth - 3 Marshall - 2 South Carolina - 2 Illinois - 2 Air Force - 2 Northwestern - 2 SMU - 2 Mississippi St - 2 Ohio - 2 Princeton - 2 Navy - 1 UCF - 1 Baylor - 1 Cincinnati - 1 Hawaii - 1 Cal - 1 South Florida - 1 Washington St - 1 Oregon St - 1 Tulane - 1 Arizona - 1 Colorado St -1 Fresno St - 1 Boston College - 1 Cal St Fullerton - 1 Northern Illinois - 1 New Mexico - 1 Tulsa - 1 Central Michigan - 1 Ball St - 1 La Tech - 1 Kentucky - 1 Maryland - 1 Arkansas St - 1 Harvard - 1 Memphis - 1 Rutgers - 1 Minnesota - 1 New Mexico St - 1 NC State - 1 Power 5 programs without a top 10 finish since 1960 ACC (3) - Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia Big12 (1) - Iowa St B1G (2) - Indiana, Purdue SEC (1) - Vanderbilt Pac12 (0) - None 2 Quote Link to comment
NUance
Nice. We're no. 3 on this list because of the drought over the past 15 years. Since 2000 we've had only one top ten finish. Bama had nine top tens over that period. Oklahoma had eleven. tOSU had ten. Quote Link to comment

When you look at it from Top 10's compared to other schools. By the time 2002 rolled around. Those schools close to NU or ahead were 5-6+ behind. Ya Nebraska was awesome, but it truly has to be probably one of the most respected stats I could ever find. Top 10 Finishes are a big deal in my mind. Probably more so to me than the next guy.
