knapplc
Let's not pretend we're not going to talk about Iowa telling their recruits that they can't even visit other schools. This is the epitome of paranoia. 5 Quote Link to comment
C N Red
I would literally back off my commitment to that school if i got a letter from them like this. Especially if i have other schools that want me. Hell, they cant even take OVs yet! Wow!! 2 Quote Link to comment
Frostberg
The tone of that letter is horrible. Sounds like some jealous controlling gf/bf 3 Quote Link to comment

Ric Flair
Very weird tone. It telegraphs a lot of insecurity. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
You must not visit another institution (because we're scared you'll commit there because everything is better than being in Iowa). 1 Quote Link to comment
famoustitles
It's crazy that they write out for the kid to contact any other colleges recruiting them to tell them to stop. It's mind blowing how off putting their letter is. Michigan State did a good job on their letters to commits. Made them really personal which Iowa could learn from Quote Link to comment
Michiganball
I thought it must be Photoshop at first as it does sound very insecure. MSU one is pretty laid back, what I would have expected from them. Here is a UM one, of course talking about not being complacent. Anyone have a Husker one to post? Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Do SEC schools print out like 1000s of these, but with little slots in them where the money goes like they do with birthday cards from Hallmark? Quote Link to comment

Michiganball
Huskers like to show off some of the bling heh. I know the whole student athlete controversy is pretty hot right now, but 190k over 4-5 years is nothing to sneeze at. There is hardly a kid out there who would have a company throw that much money at them at their age. Never mind if your NFL career ends like most after 2-3 years and you still got a B1G degree from some of the best unis in the world to fall back on. 1 Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
That Iowa letter may be one of the worst recruiting tools I have ever seen. How is that going to appeal to anyone? Quote Link to comment
Redux
That Iowa letter may be one of the worst recruiting tools I have ever seen. How is that going to appeal to anyone? It appeals to me quite a bit, the rest of the Big Ten should send a fruit basket over to thank them for driving their own recruits away. Quote Link to comment
