If we are talking good tequila, for me it's Cabo Wabo all the way.

And really NUance. Kessler? Man I haven't drank that since HS.

I think that Sammy Hagar has made like 40 million off of Cabo Wabo

Wow, amazing! Good for him...He can buy a lot of "pound cake" with that...he won't have to wait but he can get it "right now"

I LOVE This quote: At one time, Hagar owned the entire Cabo Wabo Tequila company. But in 2008, he sold 80% of the company to Campari for $80 million, explaining that they could help with worldwide distribution since, as Hagar said, I dont like working that hard. Thats $91 million for Hagar over three years, for those of you scoring at home. Hed have to play a lot of bar mitzvahs to make that kind of scratch.

Big fan of Hagar's.  Funny thing is, he doesn't drink.

Jack Daniels and a 6 of Michelob was the first thing I ever got drunk on...At the exact same age as my teenager, now that I think about it..

Couldn't touch whisky again until my beautiful Chem Lab partner and I shared her bottle of Old Bushmills in her car on a lab break one night..

But going to listen to this while I read the rest of this thread..

There is… He got out of her car rode his bicycle home and jerked off. I will get a plus one for anybody who can name the movie that I stole that from… I took some liberties with the quote

FYI, just tried Tanquerray Vodka for the first time tonight. Wow, probably the best finishing vodka I have ever tried.

That was when I found out it's nearly impossible to jerk off after a 14 mile bike ride..

Huge difference between them all and even within each of them.  This is a decent guide.  https://docs.google....1PmhfjrzjQ/edit

Your main domains of tasty: http://i.imgur.com/9K2O6.jpg

Scotch tends to be the only one that's peaty.  Bourbons more in the woody domain.  Japanese Whiskey is more floral typically.

It's all a matter of taste.  Right now the market on Japanese Whiskey is way over priced.

Got this as a gift couple months ago and finally got around to opening it tonight. Definitely was a good night for it :).

The peat & smoke are way less forward compared to even the Laphroaig 15 and very balanced. Not at all what I was expecting from Laphroaig. It's an excellent balanced single malt. Definitely one of my favorite Islay Single Malt and a must try.

You're a brave man to love the Islay - puts hair on your chest for sure!!!!

It'll put hair in all sorts of places...

I have a couple friends that are huge on Islay so I've had to learn to drink it but it's not my first choice. This Laphroaig 18 is very enjoyable and worth a try, though; it's mellowed a ton and it has a great balance. This bottle will be a lifetime supply, tho :)

I had a bunch when I was visiting Scotland a few years ago - I ended really appreciating some of the blends that you could get in private Scotch Whiskey clubs ... not enough to sign up though!
