Sears To Go Bankrupt, Likely Finished

I had some experience with this.

Out of college, I was moved to Des Moines. I was young and didn't know anyone so I always took my car to Sears for oil changes. Every single time I went, they would come back with some major mechanical repair that needed to be done or I was going to die in a crash.

One day, they told me all of my brake calipers needed to be replaced. Pretty expensive repair for me at the time. I was pissed and left. I then went to another place and said that it's been a while since my brakes were checked and just needed them looked at. They were perfectly fine. Worked great.

About a month later, this news broke.

I've never been back.

The problem is you took your car to Sears for service work. The only thing I've found them good for is buying Craftsman tools, Diehard batteries, and the occasional appliance purchase. But I think Ace Hardware now carry Craftsman so....

Yep, SEARS sold their rights to Craftsman. There are several places that now carry Craftsman tools.

I've been boycotting Wendy's since 1989 when I went to pick up my girlfriend for dinner, parked my car in their lot, got her from the library and they'd already towed me by the time we got back about 20 minutes later. Manager was a real Richard about the whole thing. Told him I'd never eat there again. Haven't.
