knapplc
YES! This is eminent good sense. My twitter timeline erupted with derision against Sen Brasch when this news broke, but those people are all crackheads. It's time we eliminated this stupid archaic rule. Set the clocks at DST and leave them there, forever. More daylight in the evening in the summer and who cares how much daylight there is in winter because nobody's going outside anyway. 1 4 Link to comment
Landlord
So we would have a different time than any state surrounding us? lol Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
So we would have a different time than any state surrounding us? lol As well as throwing in the confusion of the Mountain time zone running through the middle (western 1/3) of the state. Link to comment

Farmers, Knapp.... Farmers go outside in the Winter.... (Full disclosure: I own a small farm) I agree with you though. I'd rather have the daylight in the evening. Link to comment

Whistlebritches
I saw another state out east was considering the same thing. Maine maybe. Their proposal was to permanently be on DST. Link to comment

BigRedBuster
More daylight in evenings in the winter. I don't give a rip if I go to work and it's still dark in the morning. Indiana and Arizona has had this for a long time and it hasn't caused them any problems. Link to comment

NUance
I think Nebraska should go back to local time like they had back in the 1870s and before. Every city big enough to have a clock on the courthouse would maintain its own time. That way, clocks in Omaha and Grand Island would only be about 10 minutes apart. Link to comment
mrandyk
So we would have a different time than any state surrounding us? lol Ideally those states would follow suit. Someone has to go first. Daylight savings time makes absolutely no sense. Link to comment
