Ohio State commit Trevon Grimes tweets, ’62-3,’ after 4-star WR Tyjon Lindsey commits to Nebraska

Ohio State has gradually compiled one of the best recruiting classes in college football this past year. Its class of commitments, which includes 7 5-star commits, is currently rated as the second-best in the nation, according to 247 Sports.

But, the Buckeyes did take a couple blows on Saturday, after former Ohio State commits Antjuan Simmons and Tyjon Lindsey committed to Michigan State and Nebraska, respectively.

One soon-to-be Buckeye clearly took issue with one of those decision. Trevon Grimes, a 5-star wide receiver in Ohio State’s 2017 class, tweeted, “62-3,” shortly after Lindsey announced his decision, referencing the Buckeyes’ decisive 62-3 victory over Nebraska on Nov. 5.

It’s hard to top a response like that, and it should enthuse at least a few Ohio State fans who may’ve been frustrated by Lindsey’s decision. Perhaps it will add fuel to the fire when Ohio State and Nebraska meet next. The teams’ next matchup occurs in Lincoln, Neb. on Oct. 14.

Who cares

I do....and if you don't, that's fine. Don't reply. If you do at least give a reason for your position.

There's no reason for you and others to fire off these replies. People will read your response and not reply in fear of being the "outcast." It restricts participation and creates a crappy atmosphere. There are many people who don't come on here multiple times a day and that's fine. They may pop on once a day or every other day and just want to catch a snapshot of what's being discussed. That's why I post things like this sometimes.

I care. When people talk about kids and recruiting, this is what they see. Sure, "some" might come to the boards and read this, that or the other, BUT they all see the beat downs on national tv. Until those stop, nothing we do on the boards can convince or dissuade kids and their decision to come to or run form NU. Iowa, OSU and UT this year have done more to hurt NU, than fans bitching on a board.... Just my .02

It is great that we got the WR to commit to NU. Nice stealing one from one of the richer programs in the nation.

What caught my attention in the OP: 7 "5 stars" commits to OSU. We got to really coach up the kids when 4 star is our top category. The rich keep getting richer. Yes, I know Tom was able to do it with lower ranked teams but he in the end had a proven system/machine in place with enough star power in the skilled positions to make it work. He also had the Pipeline in place - OL were the key to his success. I'd like to see

us beef up the star rankings on the OL and DL.

99% of the time when you post things like this sometimes, the thing you post has already been discussed quite thoroughly in a different thread.

As far as the kid tweeting Tyjon, they are friends, and they're talking smack to each other. He's not a punk - he's a friend giving his friend sh#t.

Its called text message. By doing it on social media, he basically gave permission to the "vocal minority" as we call them here to have open season on Tyjon, which they did if you read through the responses...

I doubt they care. These guys interact with each other on social media precisely because they like it being in public.

Considering Tyjon took the time to make a video a few days before asking for people to respect his decision and it is nothing against OSU, Id say he cares about OSU fans giving him grief.
