Women's Marches

Recommended Posts

Just flipped on CNN to see what these looked like... Pretty cool to see this many people getting active for what they believe in. I believe our very own NM was attending one herself - Kudos!

Pretty embarrassing for Trump that these marches are dwarfing the attendance of his inauguration. But that's a fair representation of the share of the country that supports him versus opposes him at the moment.

I thought I read NM was doing that as well (respect)!. I agree this is great on so many levels and so many different ways!

I do hope we (our populace) can keep up the focus and participation as things go the direction it appears they will. Hopefully these activities will expand to encompass fighting the entirety of the disenfranchisement agenda of DJT's alt-right administration. People participating like this is the necessary first step to ensuring the Bill of Rights and Constitutional equality applies everyone, imo.

So, any other news on why the Pro-Life Women's groups were 'un-invited' from the DC march?

Still, when the Atlantic magazine reported this week that an antiabortion group, New Wave Feminists, was an official partner of the march, the backlash was strong. The march organizers quickly dropped the group and apologized, writing in a statement that “we look forward to marching on behalf of individuals who share the view that women deserve the right to make their own reproductive decisions.”

Shot from the air:

CAN YOU SEE ME?

I attended Boston - they thought there were more than 150k in attendance, so I'll be excited to see some footage. Was a real good vibe, very positive and forward thinking. Lots of men were there too (many wearing pink p hats) and the bright spot, lots of kids and teens - some of which spoke about what they hope to do in the future to help our country. Elizabeth Warren gave a nice speech but Senator Ed Markey had a better one I thought, it hasn't been posted yet, but I'll share it if it gets publicized.

I feel better about our future fellas!

The Women's March platform is very clearly pro-choice. Too bad they couldn't have handled it better though. Probably should not have accepted them right from the start, if they were going strongly pro-choice.
