RedSavage
Maybe it's just bc I enjoyed watching him so much as a player but I really like this hire Link to comment
The Duke
You've got to like the fact that we now have 2 former Blackshirts on the coaching staff. Good hire by Coach Riely! 1 Link to comment
zoogs
Interesting. I'm not super hot on just hiring former players, but Parella has turned out solid, I think. FWIW, Bullocks has four years coaching DBs in college outside P5, and was assistant DBs coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars last year, so it seems his trajectory is on the up. Link to comment
BIG ERN
I think this is a solid hire. Use them Tennessee and southern ties! Link to comment
The Maudfather
I hope it works out well. I would have preferred that they go with a proven name and proven recruiter, but maybe he'll turn out to be fine. Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I definitely don't think it's a requirement for a coach to have be a former Husker, I think it's a big bonus. Nebraska is a unique program, and I think it's beneficial for former Huskers to be recruiting to the city of Lincoln and the school. 1 Link to comment
Lil' Red
I definitely don't think it's a requirement for a coach to have be a former Husker, I think it's a big bonus. Nebraska is a unique program, and I think it's beneficial for former Huskers to be recruiting to the city of Lincoln and the school. It also greatly diminishes the possibility that they'd leave to go to a different school. Our secondary coach position has been a revolving door for quite a while so landing someone that will stick around for awhile would be nice for a change. Link to comment
