Trump's (Lack of) Approval Rating

Recommended Posts

I see in this poll more people favored carter over Reagan? Carter got absolutely destroyed by Reagan in the 80' election. I just find it funny but anyone can get a poll to get the results they want in any situation. Not trying to say this poll is terrible, but I keep an "open mind" when looking at polls in general.

The poll is not saying that. The poll is comparing the FIRST approval ratings for each of these Presidents. Carter's FIRST approval poll rating after taking office was higher than Reagan's FIRST approval poll rating after taking office ~4 years later...

I'm not sure how this bozo got into office BUT- is a 1000 people really a good sample size? I didn't even know that there were 1000 people that still answered the phone.

It's statistics man. Black magic stuff.

That would make Moiraine what, a Black Magic Woman? :P

Easy now Santana! She'll put a spell on you baby.

February 7, 2017 - American Voters Oppose Trump Immigration Ban, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Big Gender Gap As Voters Disapprove Of Trump

Looking at Trump's personal qualities, American voters say:

54 - 42 percent that he is not honest;

50 - 47 percent that he does not have good leadership skills;

52 - 45 percent that he does not care about average Americans;

60 - 35 percent that he is not level-headed;

70 - 26 percent that he is a strong person;

65 - 31 percent that he is intelligent;

58 - 38 percent that he does not share their values.

Donald Trump will do more to divide the country, rather than unite the nation, voters say 58 - 37 percent. He will mostly bring the right kind of change, 41 percent of voters say, while 44 percent say he will bring the wrong kind of change.

His approval rating is not surprising when the major media types have been bashing him for two years nonstop and do the polling themselves. It doesn't matter at this point as his true approval rating is how his voters feel and they are thrilled with almost everything. He is on his way to being a great President. Go Donald Go! When his first three years are done, he will be very popular and will win re-election with a bigger margin than the liberal media can imagine. The bashing is only strengthening his position. His first year is off to a tremendous start and his agenda is going to get accomplished quite satisfactorily. Of course Congress will water down some but it will be amazing. Just my prediction and I also felt he would win the election unlike so many who just don't 'get it'.

The polls are all done with leading and misleading and suggestive questions etc. I don't believe most of them and time will tell but the major media has much less influence and ability to sway public opinion than they want to believe. The liberals are all trying to convince themselves that they are somehow indicative of the majority. They don't represent a big fraction. Their far left agendas are no longer being hidden and as such the majority of the voting public will respond negatively. Trump will find his support among some of the more traditional Democrat voters increasing, particularly the labor unions and the so-called 'working class',. He will also be gaining strength among the legal immigrants who are privately supportive of stopping all the mass illegal immigration and entry by foreigners So long as he keeps his promises generally, he will be very popular indeed. Some of them will take a year or even two to start having the positive effects that will make people happy. When they do, he will find his approval ratings going up substantially.

Until the labor market improves dramatically (we need another 20 million jobs paying middle class wages), there is absolutely no need for ANY more immigration fro anywhere. The mass influx of 40 plus million from all around the world has driven down the standard of living (real wages and benefits) over the past two decades to the point where reports are showing over 50% of the American people have less than $1,000 on average and even the most basic of unusual expenditures requires extraordinary measures. This is just unacceptable in modern day America.
