TGHusker
Indirect obstruction going on here in my opinion. Trump supporters have taken over the tea party movement it appears and are putting pressure on Rod Rosensetein - the Deputy AG who appointed Mueller. https://www.newsmax.com/politics/tea-party-rod-rosenstein-deputy-attorney-general-tv-ad/2018/02/08/id/842292/ Quote "On behalf of our nationwide network of over 3 million supporters, we call on Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to stop protecting Obama holdovers and Deep State bureaucrats who are politicizing the Department of Justice and FBI, or resign. "Rod Rosenstein’s stonewalling and failure to cooperate with legitimate congressional oversight have damaged the credibility of important institutions and undermined critical congressional investigations seeking the truth about the politicization of our national security agencies. "Our message to Mr. Rosenstein is simple: Do your job and uphold the rule of law or resign from office immediately." Rosenstein, a Republican, has been under fire in recent weeks as supporters of President Donald Trump attempt to discredit the investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller, who is probing Russia’s interference with the 2016 presidential race and whether the Trump campaign was involved. Moiraine
Maybe Mueller should hurry. As soon as he and Rosenstein are gone this is all over, because the GOP won't stand up to Trump even if he does fire them. Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
17 different U.S. intelligence agencies (and Facebook) unanimously confirm Russian interference in the U.S. election. Donald Trump goes with Vladimir Putin's explanation instead. And an entire generation of conservative anti-Russia hawks abandons all evidence and principle to back the President. That's all there is to say on this subject. 5 Link to comment

That's all there is to say on this subject. Yes, he did. Lest anyone forget: Quote Trump calls Putin's denials 'sincere,' later says he's 'with our agencies' on Russian election meddling Donald Trump on Sunday said he believes U.S. intelligence agencies, which have concluded that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. But Trump also said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is sincere when he says Russia didn't interfere. "I believe that he feels that he and Russia did not meddle in the election," Trump said of Putin at a news conference with Vietnam's president in Hanoi. "As to whether I believe it, I'm with our agencies." He added, "As currently led by fine people, I believe very much in our intelligence agencies." Top U.S. intelligence officials, including those at the CIA, have concluded that Russia interfered in the election to help the Republican Trump defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton. A special counsel and multiple Congressional committees are also investigating potential collusion between Moscow and Trump campaign aides. That probe has so far led to the indictments of Trump's former campaign chairman and another top aide for financial and other crimes unrelated to the campaign, as well as a guilty plea from a Trump foreign policy adviser. Trump also seemed to suggest Sunday that it was time to remove the sanctions Congress has slapped on Russia in retaliation. "It's now time to get back to healing a world that is shattered and broken," said Trump. "Those are very important things." Link to comment

TGHusker
Breaking news: Russians indicted in special counsel's probe for operations allegedly supporting Donald Trump in election https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/16/russians-indicted-in-special-counsel-robert-muellers-probe.html Quote The special counsel's office said Friday that a federal grand jury indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities in the probe into interference in the 2016 elections. The indictment says that the defendants allegedly, by early to mid 2016, were "supporting the presidential campaign of then-candidate Donald J. Trump ... and disparaging Hillary Clinton." An announcement from special counsel Robert Mueller's office said that the government accuses all the defendants of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Three defendants are charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud. Five defendants are charged with aggravated identity theft. This story is developing.
