Is this the first year they can visit during the summer? Or, is this a year off yet?

They can't visit in the summer yet.

Was just trying to look this up to no avail. What time frame could officials be taken. As of now they are allowed after the start of said prospects senior year if I'm correct. Would be huge if the time frame would allow for official vists during our spring game.

How come Isaah Crocker isn't up there for Arkansas State?

He's planning on visiting that week, but nothing official has been set yet.

Watch it be Hall or Parsons.

It could be Hall/Crosswell. However, I think Parsons is eyeing Wisconsin game. I'll post an update in his thread.

What's keeping recruits from the Ohio state date right now? Seems like it should also be a huge weekend, but maybe there is something going on then?

They're doing us the favor of not watching that game. :P

The coaches are realistic in realizing we have a much better chance vs Wisky and are pushing it.

A high profile player will be visiting week 1, he will announce it this week.

I'd guess Crockett or Hulfanga.

It was Crockett.

Not going to lie, little disappointed in this weekend's list. I know it's not a big game, but it is a night game (plenty of time to get kids here) and it's a long weekend for them getting labor day off.

Been thinking the same thing. Thought maybe it was the holiday, why more are not coming.

I think that's probably some of it.  Plus a lot of guys targeting the Wisconsin game.

There could still be a couple late adds.

The offense and defense will be very simplified for this game - not a great game to showcase the future to recruits.  The staff will also be very focused on the game with several first time players getting action.  Guessing the day following will be full of coaches discussing adjustments for the following week.

 Crosswell sure helps.

Alston is our only true OLB visiting for any games so far? Aren't we running a 3-4 defense? I also wonder why if we don't blitz, why we don't recruit bigger safeties to play OLB like an Antonio Reed. Getting Guy Thomas and hopefully Micah Parsons doesn't seem as great if they aren't rushing the QB

Parsons is more then likely coming Oct 7th, he's an OLB. Otherwise, yes this is it so far.

Yeah I know that's why I said 'true' OLB. He is a 4-3 DE and a 3-4 OLB - mainly because almost all other 3-4 defenses use them as a stand up rush end most of the time

I'm not sure I'm following what you are saying. Parsons is the perfect build for a 3-4 OLB?

Yes he is, just not the way Diaco would use him it seems. If he went to Clemson lets say, he would be their version of Vic Beasley. Stand up and rush the passer. Here he would drop back and cover receivers

I disagree, I think he would do both a be great at it.

We are currently using Gifford in that role, there a many plays during the game Gifford is rushing and many he drops into coverage.

No offense to Luke, he's been solid, but Micah has physical talents Luke doesn't.

I know he can be great at both. I cringe when Gifford has his hand in the dirt - I guess if we used Micah more in that role I would agree it would play to his strengths a lot better. At this time he hasn't even officially visited so I wont continue the discussion to get my hopes up.

He has visited, on his own dime. Also, according to Wiltfong, he's coming back Oct. 7th.

Isn't it easy to see that we are lacking in the OL and RB department?

As far as recruiters or talent?

I'll answer.....yes, both.

If we're going to pull off one upset this year, and Riley keeps his job, this would be the one that gives us the best chance for these recruits/commits.
