I'm pretty sure these are targeted ads based on cookies on your browser. So people seeing ads about automobiles probably have looked at something car-related recently, if you're seeing celebrity photos you may have been browsing People or TMZ, and people seeing animal penises.... well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, this is a judgment-free zone :).

That explains all my ads being about midget porn.

I turned my AdBlocker off to see what kind of person my cookies say I am. It turns out I'm pretty weird.

My ads:

  • "Should you hire a personal injury lawyer?" (probly from the youtube search of bicycle crashes I did yesterday to mock Knapp.)
  • "Land your dream job? (Hey now, I only appear to be unemployed because I spend so much time goofing around on the internet.)
  • "17 unbelievable facts about WWII" (I googled "MOAB" to find out WTF GM_Tood was talking about in his status update.)
  • "This hair growth saves my hair. My boyfriend is so happy!" (I must have done a search on bald women at some point?)
  • "Can't look away from these photos of celebs without eyebrows." (Bald women without eyebrows! LULZ)

So my cookies indicate that I'm an unemployed bald woman with no eyebrows who may possibly be injured and has an active interest in 20th century history. Dead on!

I have those same exact ads right now .... wonder how similar our histories are. I'm guessing not very - so I'm not sure I buy into the cookie thing.

Yo baldie, I'll bet your boyfriend would disagree with that!

It's pretty clear that several members are all seeing the same banners at the same times.

"Men, try this tonight. You'll never need..."

Ok important people, we can't keep this ad here. It's awful. Put ads on the side. No popup ads anywhere.

Or here's another idea:

89.7 The River does a fundraiser every year where they talk and talk and talk and sometimes play bad music until they reach their goal. Can we turn this awful ad into that? "This ad will be here until we raise X amount of $. If you want it to go away faster send $ here using Paypal."
