Lightbourn Looks for Rebound Season

Recommended Posts

"And if you remember, probably his best punting of the year was in the bowl game. He had a really nice day," Riley said. "We really focused on a very simple thing. We kind of took some directional punting out of it. We made it simple. (We said), 'You punt the ball 40 yards with a 4.0 hang time and we're going to be good.' And he had a great day.

"Now you're talking about a guy that has a season under his belt and is a hard worker, and I'm telling you what, he is talented."

If a stranger off the street showed up to a Nebraska practice and didn't know what was what, the person would first take Lightbourn for a linebacker and not a punter.

The fact Lightbourn stands 6-foot-3, 230 pounds is one reason the stranger would think that. Another is he's being coached by defensive coordinator Bob Diaco.
