lo country
An honest question. Are we as fans, myself included, high on Westy because of his success at NU even though the success is rather pedestrian compared to other FBS leading receivers. I think Westy has great hands, phenomenal route running and a desire to compete. Is he marginalized because of "measurables", lack of production, or stats. I can't help but think he and other recent NU receivers/TE's have been hurt by quality QB play more so than their lack of "ability". Thoughts.... Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
I don't have a lot of confidence in the way the NFL signs some players and passes on others but that's just me. Westy could easily get great interest and sign with one team while another team could totally pass on him or any other player like him for that matter. He has the talent especially to do well in a slot role but personally I just think it all depends on being with the right team at the right time. Quote Link to comment
MyBloodIsRed16
Wish he would try out for the bears.. they have 0 reliable receivers. Pretty sure he could play Quote Link to comment

Honestly, I don't know if JW is fast enough to play at the next level. Don't get me wrong, he could walk 40 yards faster than I could run it, but compared to DBs in the league...I just don't think he has the wheels.  Now if a team puts him in the slot, sends him in motion, etc, he's a good enough route runner that they could probably use scheme to help him get open. Quote Link to comment

If you ask me to dissolve it, I will. Is Jordan a great wideout... Yep. Is he overvalued.... nope. How are his hands?.... S+ Will to compete... S+ Quote Link to comment

broganreynik
On if any of this weekend's tryout WRs have caught his attention: Â "Yeah, they have because they try hard. I have to watch them a little more to find out a little bit more about them to know and see if they have a chance to stick here and really can contribute to our team." http://m.clevelandbrowns.com/s/35610/201?itemUri=-1861016346/9590338100485151298611214Â The Browns are at the max roster size of 90 though. They just signed two DBs, but still need WR help bad. I wouldn't be surprised to see some shuffling around to add a WR or two. We'll see what that means for Westy. I haven't seen any news one way or the other. Â I'd love to have to pick up a Westy Browns jersey! Â https://twitter.com/nflhuskers/status/864261716124807169 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Pulled a hamstring in Cleveland and was pretty limited. Didn't get signed. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
It's really sad he got injured last year and hasn't been able to catch on somewhere. I would have bet money that someone would have taken a chance on him. Quote Link to comment

How many times did we see him leave a game due to being dinged up? Quote Link to comment

How many times did we see him leave a game due to being dinged up? Â Less than the number of times we saw him completely sell his body out to make a catch. For every ten massive hits, usually resulting in a first down in a critical juncture of a game, he maybe left the game once or twice. Â This is a pretty weird complaint to make. He's not fragile. He's a team-first guy who will risk injury to accomplish team goals. 6 Quote Link to comment

He played through one hell of a lot of that and continued to be one who sacrifices his body for the catch (with super glue hands) 1 Quote Link to comment
