GSG
Dream ride: Columbus High grad Channing Hill to carry Nebraska flag with Kentucky Derby mount The thought of a Nebraska native riding in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby might be hard to believe. Even Channing Hill, who is that Husker, is doing a reality check. “I feel honored to be riding in the Derby,” he said. “There are a lot of jockeys who have as much talent or more than I do who have never gotten the chance.” When the starting gate swings open in the most famous of all horse races, 2005 Columbus High graduate Channing Hill will be aboard Fast and Accurate. That colt will be one of 20 seeking eternal glory in the 1¼-mile Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs. 1 Quote Link to comment
